Absolutely floored by how cool this thing is.
I've often wondered why these scarves are used and a good friend and shooting enthusiast highly recommended it. I've seen them for years on military personnel and now it makes sense why these things are so effective. I chose the blue one because I am not in the military or law enforcement and simply liked the color and wanted to avoid looking like a military wannabe. First off, the quality is amazing. I thought this was a piece of fabric with a printed design, it's actually a piece of fabric that has been intricately woven. I soaked mine in a mixture of white vinegar, salt and water for 24 hours to colorfast it so that it doesn't accidentally turn me into a smurf the first time I wore it. Washed it normally after that and it feels terrific. I use it outdoors in Florida and trust me, it protects from the extreme heat and any brush you might be walking near. Even with Covid 19 requirements to wear masks in public, this feels like a great alternative and it's fun to see the reaction on people's faces when they see me wear it. I'm actually considering getting another one.

Rothco make the BEST Shemagh!
I bought 6 different brands and this was the most durable, cotton feeling one of them all! If you are on the fence between a few brands, get this one!! Some others claim they are cotton but they feel like polyester and are just trash. Rothco was so good I came back for more colors, its great! I would highly recommend!

better than I was expecting
I love these things. I do a fair amount of outdoor excursions, and this is one of my standard EDC (every day carry) items among or away from civilization. It's great aerated shade in hot environments, also in cold environments scrunched up or folded is good for warmth insulation, and regardless of the weather the design looks quite fashionable as well. Not to mention the nearly endless list of uses a bandana has in general, any boyscout or survivalist/bushcraft people out there know what's up.I ordered the Olive Drab color and the Blue. They are definitely higher quality than I was expecting. 100% cotton, nice and soft. I am pleased and will order again.

Top Notch Quality
We ordered shemaghs from three companies on Amazon this month--Merewill, Rothco and Tapp. The weight, feel and build quality of the Rothco (Blue and Black) we recieved is top notch compared to the others and enough to more than justify picking up a second from Rothco (Blue and White) and possibly more in the future. The size of the Rothco (42"x42") is the same as the Tapp but both are noticeably smaller than the Merewill (49"x49"). While I like the extra size of the Merewill a lot, the pattern is a poly stitched on over/through the base cotton sheet which gives a raised pattern more likely to snag or come free over time. The patterns of both the Tapp and Rothco are blended into the cotton sheet (more like a dye pattern) so it looks much sharper/professional. I can't say which styling looks more "authentic" because that wasn't a consideration during the purchasing process. The Tapp (Blue and Black Stars) is scratchy and less likely to see frequent use than either of the others. What I can say is that the Rothco is by far the most comfortable and most likely to see the most use while hiking.

Buy it!
Once again, Amazon has delivered as advertised. Rothco's shemagh has performed well both in the Florida Everglades as well as Central America. It has held up even though I dogged it out, and it still looks good even after having been washed in swamp water. It's become part of my EDC necessities.

Works better than expected.
Was hesitant when I first received the item. Loose woven threads had me worried they could snag on something, while they still could snag on something, it hasn't been a problem. The loose weave has purpose, it allows the cloth to breath. Live In East Central Georgia USA. Brutally hot and humid in the summer. Had on a hat and gave the cloth a try. To my surprise it kept the sun from beating down on my head and actually had a cooling effect especially when I face the breeze. I am sold. And will aquire more.

high quality
Bought this because I wanted a blue and black shemagh. I already had a tan and black one, but I thought that a blue and black one would be more appropriate since I'm a cop now. I used to wear one in Iraq, as a matter of fact, I try to have one at all times now. I wear it when I'm mowing the lawn and it keeps the gnats out of my ears. It is of good quality, actually woven, not printed. It does the job. All cotton, not polyester and well worth the money. If you take care of it, it should last a good long time.

Not bad
Good quality product with alot of available colors, however I found the 42"x42" size too small and did not have enough slack left over to make a good tie. This should have been 44"x44", but maybe women or children will find it useful.
