Immediate Effects Serum by Cult51 for Unisex - 1.05 oz Serum

I've tried it a few times just in case the 'immediate effects' took a few applications but it didn't help. I carefully smoothed a layer beneath each eye and waited... and... no change at all. Nothing happened - except my under-eye area became drier. My eye bags were still just as visible as before I applied it, if not more pronounced. My fine lines were still there, too. On the bright side, I didn't experience any burning like some have reported, but still, this stuff has a hefty price tag for something that did nothing at all. I was quite disappointed, too, because I've tried both the day and night creams and I really liked them. This, however, I don't recommend. 1 star.

The manufacturer recommends that you use this around your eyes (while avoiding the tear duct), but it's going to irritate most people's eyes if they do. Regular use is out of the question with so much alcohol. If this were a miracle-worker sort of serum, I might hang onto it for *occasional* use, but it's not. Overpriced to boot. I don't mind a little alcohol since it normally disappears by the time I get any serum on my face but this feels like it is almost all alcohol. I tried this serum 3 times and each time I experienced immediate redness and irritation with an overwhelming burn from the denatured alcohol that is the second ingredient. It also contains escin which is an extract from horse chestnut and is supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties. This serum just isn't friendly for sensitive or dry skin. I’ve tried a few other Cult51 products and I liked them so I was excited to try this. Obviously, it doesn’t give you immediate effects, but the serum does feel good on your skin and it helps keep my dry skin moisturized. This goes on light and it absorbs fast. I can easily layer this serum with other serums and I haven’t had any pilling between them. This has little to no scent so I didn’t have any sensitivity issues, even if I tap a bit of it around my eyes (because who wouldn’t want immediate effects there?). I really love their bottles because the pump puts the product out so easily and you can get as much or as little as you want. That’s great because you don’t feel like you are wasting product by getting too much out with one pump. This bottle is good sized so this should last me a long time since I only need one drop to cover my entire face.
