Is this vacuum good for picking up hair?

I actually experimented with this today. I vacuumed with this vac on high on my low pile 7x10 area rug and then went over it with my regular corded Shark vac. I have a short haired large dog and a kitten and I live alone. The amount of dander and hair that I picked up with the Shark was shocking. It filled an entire paper plate. And I vacuum with the Eureka every other day. I'll be pulling out my corded vacuum more often after today's experiment.

Quit working after 4 months how to get money back or new vacuum?

I also had a problem after 6 months. Won’t hold a charge and I am very unhappy due to money paid. If only 6 -8 months, I would have purchased something much cheaper. Probably would have lasted longer than this!
