Our local theater ran the LOR trilogy on the big screen recently. My daughter and I love the movies, and when I saw these available, I bought them for her birthday. They look really neat. The picture is accurate regarding what the book ends can support. They are not very heavy, so only lighter books can be used with them.

I purchased these to be showpiece bookends for my Lord of the Rings collection. I quickly discovered these would not hold up under the weight of the larger books when they became unbalanced.Don't get me wrong, the look incredibly nice. Smaller than expected and way too light to be more than a showpiece, INSTEAD of a bookend. If you purchase with this in mind, you will not be disappointed for the price.

This product is trash. DO NOT BUY! This is false advertisement and should be removed off Amazon. This is disgusting behavior on the part of the seller and Amazon for allowing such trash to be on their site. Again! DO NOT BUY! Its WAY smaller and WAY less detailed than in the photo. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

My son loves these. They a a bit smaller than I thought they would be but that's my fault for not reading the dimensions but they are heavy and sturdy. They look great in his office.

I returned these immediately after opening the box when I realized how lightweight and small these bookends are. They are useless for most serious book owners. It may work for paperback books if they are small and nothing knocks them physically. I have plenty of standard to large books that are heavier and require a more hefty bookend. It's too bad because I liked the concept of the mold. They appeared far classier than they looked when I received them, too. They look like cheap plastic or resin rather than stone.

I bought these for a friend because they love Lord of the Rings. They're probably not good bookends. Heck, they're not good replicas in terms of color. They feel like the kind of thing you would buy from a cheap decoration store.No detailing work done on them whatsoever. Just really dark, glossy material. If you want Lord of the rings decor, yeah they're cheaper. If you want to make them look more like rock, it's a cool art project (but 3d printingay be cheaper).I won't say they're bad. Just cheap and probably shouldn't be used as bookends unless it's paperbacks. I also suspect they'll break if you drop them.
