Q: Have a off grid 110volt system with 500 gal water tank what do i need to hook it up do i need a pressure tank or can i hook direct to my water tank

Use this in our home with 2500 gal water haul tank. Pump works great. One thing I would highly recommend is adding a small like 2 gallon pressure tank if you have a hot water heater. Yes the pump has a small pressure tank but it is not big enough to take into account the expansion of water when heated. Lost one new hot water heater. Replacement hot water heater put in with small pressure tank. No more issues

Q: When you open a tap how long does the pump take to get to the set pressure? I'm wondering if the delay is noticeable or not.

It’s barely noticeable. The pump keeps the set pressure constantly. Once you open the tap, you have that pressure. It may dip down a tiny bit, like 5 psi which is hard to tell, but it goes back to the full set pressure within a second as the variable speed pump senses the flow and pressure and adjusts for it. This pump is probably better than any other for seamless pressure boosting.

Q: will this work with my older control panel since the unit will be under the house?

As far as I know the entire control panel is attached to the unit itself... it does have memory though. If the power goes off it keeps the same settings. Perhaps they make a remote control, I would love one too!
