This shelf exceeded my expectations. It seemed as though it would not be sturdy as I was assembling it. However, once it was all assembled, it proved to be quite stable. What was surprising was the provided small rubber mallet and gloves to be used while assembling. I would recommend this product.

The shelves are fairly easy to put together and are very sturdy. Highly recommended.

First, let me just say this shelving unit is definitely an upgrade from the traditional rack shelves of the past. The double walled uprights are a major improvement for stability and strength. And the all metal shelves with the bracing ribs complete the unit with incredible strength and durability. My biggest complaint from prior wood shelves was the warping and/or molding from using them in a garage or cold room. This is no longer an issue. My only complaint was that based on the advertising, I assumed these shelves were metal wrapped around a core material to give them their thickness and strength. I was disappointed at first when I saw that that were just metal with bent over sides and ends to make the appear thicker. I was afraid they would end up bending and getting ruined with any significant weight. However, this was not the case. With the extra support from the ribs underneath, these are impressively sturdy shelves. And to include a small rubber hammer and gloves for assembly, you’ve got yourself a great product?

I have purchased this brand of storage shelving before and have been happy with the quality, design, and ease of construction.I needed a narrower unit for a closet. This unit is as well made and easiy constructed as the larger units. Unfortunately, it is very short and only 4 shelves. I had to purchase two units. I used one unit to add height and extra shelves in order to have a shelving unit that fits the closet. So far it is working and seems stable

With almost 2 years between the purchases, some changes between the two are noticeable side by side.While both still feature the double layer thick column that I looked for, some parts, like the cross bars have thinned out a little bit and were a bit warped; once the pegs are in place and locked in, shelf lip feel as durable as the one bought 2 years ago. The shelf themselves still fit nicely on the bars. I did also noticed they simplified the column bars exterior as well but that may just be up to making manufacturing easier.Assembly was pretty straight forward as the first time. I remembered from that time to use my own larger Rubber Mallet, I found that the hammer provided was much louder, either side, to use than a larger mallet. The cloth gloves worked well and save me the purchase of expendable gloves later.I expect this shelf to last another few years alongside the first one, and would recommend for any garage/home storage.

I decided to upgrade from the snap together, fixed level plastic shelves both for looks and so that I can adjust the shelf spacing as-needed. Came across these, read the reviews. I was a little concerned that they'd be flimsy or cheap - instead, I was pleasantly surprised on two counts... One, that the parts are all decently solid and secondly how good it looks once assembled. The plastic corner pieces for stacking the two halves seem a little sketchy, but do the trick. The shelves also appear flimsy at first, but with the cross braces underneath and how they sit into the unit, works well. Fortuitously, the existing shelving that I removed had these clips on the wall that fit right under the top shelf to lock it in place - bonus! Quite solid this way.
