Three Great Plays: The Emperor Jones, Anna Christie and The Hairy Ape (Dover Thrift Editions)

This was my first reading of O'Neill's plays, and I was greatly impressed by the smoothness with which each play developed, to its end. The threeplays in this volume are: The Emperor Jones; Anna Christie; The Hairy Ape. Two of the three end in tragedy; there is a glimmer of hope in 'AnnaChristie'. Readers who have no taste for tragic endings, should best avoid O'Neill's dramas.

Not one for reviews, but they described the product accurately and it arrived at my house quickly, fast enough for school! I'd recommend this seller. The item (I haven't read yet in class) but since i"m an english major I'm assuming the book will be great :).

Dover editions are often the best, most affordable reading copy available and this is no exception.

The greatest American playwright presents three of his great works at this incredible price. For those unaware of Eugene Gladstone O'Neill, this is a wonderful starter book.
