The birdbath portion of mine does not light up, is there something wrong with this one?

The solar panel is on the backside by the legs of the statue. Power switch is on the bottom.

Can i put water into the fountain area? i see that i says the entire thing is waterproof, but i’d love to know before buying.

The fountain has some sort of clear epoxy filling the fountain to make the fountain look like there is real water already filling the fountain. It really is a lovely outside decoration. I have one for myself and bought 3 more as memorial gifts. BTW, I stored mine in my utility room over winter.
