The media could not be loaded. I did 1000 watercolor paintings with other paints, then I got my first danielsmith paint set it was the Jean Hanes set, now I was happy to try this set. I also got one paint (tray) pan set. I rarely use any other watercolor paints since starting with a danielsmith they do make a big difference in all respects with watercolor painting. comparatively expensive but I’ve done several hundred paintings with them and no tube is even getting low at this point.I would not especially recommend for beginners, just because of the price. But if the price doesn’t matter, then go for it

Once applied, the watercolor pigment is as smooth as silk. Daniel Smith watercolors are for the mid to-the advanced student.

Great product and I am relieved that Blick is getting the business, but as an Amazon Prime member I should get free shipping. I was actually charged $9.95 for shipping, when it should be free.

Great fun greens that inspire and surprise!
I bought this set as a way to try a few greens and stock up on a shade I love. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by Cascade Green - it really is fun with the blues and greens that can separate and provide some wonderfully fun results.The Serpentine I had as a pan and this is even betterJadeite is super great for mixing and on its own.The Green Apatite Gen is luscious (my second tube of it!!)Perylene Green is superb for the shadowy depths of shrubberies and foliage in generalIf you aren’t sure of which pre-mixed greens to get, this 5ml tube set is a great way to try them out as you never really get a good sense from the dot cards or online images. Trying them fresh out of a small tube is wonderful AND these high quality paints go a long way with just a little dab so very much a worthwhile investment if you’re serious about greens

The green are varied and distinctive and great pigment really loved them but tunes are half size than at the paint store
