Nice for earthquake-proofing shelves in a bookcase
Others experiences may vary, but the supports I got do fit the 5mm holes in my bookshelves. These are great! Sturdy, well made. I use these to secure loose shelves in a bookcase so they don't fall out during an earthquake and damage the wood floors. I had to use a miter saw to shave off about 1/8" on the end of the bookshelves to accommodate the additional metal. I like this approach to securing the shelves because there's no need to drill into the main bookshelf structure....so when I want to adjust shelf height, I just have to unscrew the brackets, move the shelf, and rescrew. No additional drilling like if I were using L brackets or something. The screws I used for these are Rok Hardware SKU: ROKS8X12TPSZ (100 pack #8 x 1/2" standard thread truss head screws wood work MDF zinc). Low profile and worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

Shelf support delivered
These L shelf supports do just what they promise. I measured the holes with a 5mm drill bit and the supports fit exactly as expected. They installed easily and the shelves are very sturdy. My greatest surprise was that the L supports were thick enough to preclude allowing the shelves to fit into the L but by rotating them 180* they worked very well. If the fit of your shelves is quite tight you may have to do the same. I do like the holes that allow fastening the shelves but don't see that many will use them since the pegs are intended to allow for adjusting shelf heights. I must admit that having a 25 count does not make much sense since you use them 4 per shelf. However, the cost is low enough that it is a small irritation. These are simple solutions for shelf support but they deliver as promised.

Great replacements
One morning a few weeks ago I heard a crash in the middle of the night, but didn't see anything obvious, so I left it for morning to figure out what had happened... I did immediately upon opening the kitchen cabinet! An entire shelf of coffee mugs finally let go after 20+ years of holding them! The original supports were those clear plastic ones that are so common. They did last a long time, but for me standard procedure has become replacing all of those with these steel ones. Keep in mind, some cabinets may not accept the longer pins on these, but it's just a matter of grinding a little off the ends or cutting them with a cutoff tool (I used my Dremel with some awesome cut off wheels) to make them fit. WELL worth the time and effort, especially if you have any heavily loaded shelves- and who doesn't in the kitchen?!

Pins aren't level with seat, but fine overall
Used a 3/16 bit to drill holes, the pins fit snugly in that circumference. The seat of the L isn't exactly level with the plan of the pin, but it should only put you off by about 1/16 or so. I'll update in the future regarding durability. These are going into a cabinet in a bathroom, so rust could be a problem if the finish isn't done well.

Good quality
It can be hard to find metric sizes in the US & these are perfect. I got them to fit Ikea Pax, which comes with terrible plastic shelf clips. But none of my local hardware stores (including the big box places) had the right size. I’ve used over 100 of these clips & haven’t had a problem with a single one- they’re sturdy & consistent. Only thing to keep in mind is the tolerance between the shelf & the case. In most of mine, the shelf fits too tightly to be placed inside the clips as intended. I got tired of shaving down my shelves, & now I just flip the clips upside down & lay the shelf on top, & while that’s theoretically less mechanically stable, it has worked fine so far - much better than the plastic clips they replaced.

Nice hardware.
These are nicely made brackets, no sharp edges or thin plating. They are the right size and depth, but the pins are a bit longer than the ones on the shelf brackets KraftMaid included with our kitchen cabinets 15 years or so ago. Those are plastic and they're falling apart, so I didn't bother asking KraftMaid to replace them. These have longer pins so they don't quite push in all the way flush. I filed a couple down on one shelf to make them work, the other fit ok. I'm going to grind the others down before I replace more plastic hardware. They only need 1mm or so removed to fit flush with cabinet side. Could finish the others with a file, but I'll do them in a batch on the grinding wheel this weekend.

Works with a little adjustment
Of course we got way more than we needed of these things and we had to do a small adjustment to make them fit the holes. However, they work and now we have plenty.

Great replacemt for Kraftmaid clips
Moved into a home with a kitchen full of Kraftmaid cabinets and quickly discovered that these cabinets come with really annoying, cheap, plastic shelf clips that break easily and lead to smashed fingers when you try to take them out to move a shelf.Luckily these shelf clips are the perfect replacement. Simple design, easy to use, sturdy and clean looking. These make adjusting shelves a snap and they dont break like the original plastic ones did. Great problem solver, highly recommend!
