Sensational sea story with important message.
Shared this with my year 1 class and they loved it. Cleverly written to introduce concept of ocean pollution in an engaging and easy to understand way, the pictures and text are beautiful. Must read!

Eco story!
My grandson has started studying ecology at pre-school!! He is nearly 4 years old and this little story was a simple and excellent example of how plastic damages the ocean and it’s marine life. It finishes with an exercise that hopefully will become a life-long exercise to clean up and maintain plastic-free beaches (and earth)!

Beautiful educational story
I adore this book, as someone who professionally works with children I love the educational side to this book and how it really makes the children think at the end.It opened up lovely conversations on marine conservation and how we can help the planet

An ok book for intro to Earth Day/Environment topic
This book is a nice, easy book but can only see as an introductory resource for a earth day-type lesson. Ie, whole school collecting plastic bottles for art craft. The story isn’t much deeper than that. Wouldnt use for older than Year 2 (6-7yrs)

A super story with a clear eco message
I love this story and so do my grandchildren! It is beautifully illustrated and clearly tells such an important story with a strong realistic message to our youngsters about the horror of plastic in our oceans. Through our encounter with odd fish we become aware of the increasing pollutants in a very accessible way for children to understand. As they become curious to know more it is a nice touch to have lots of information in the back as to what action we can all take to help improve our oceans. PS We loved trying to find the crab on every page!

Brilliant eco-adventure story
A deceptively simple story that’s a great introduction to environmental issues, told with such gentle humour, warmth and kindness. Great as either a calming bedtime story, or as a more interactive joining in rumbunctious read. Another hit from the author-illustrator team behind our family’s firm favourite The Perfect Hit. Recommended!
