Q: My monitors are not displaying after waking my computer from sleep. Why is this happening?

Sleep and hibernation may lead to some problems in Windows 7-10. Windows 11 allows the operating system to remember window locations and fixes rearrangement issues. We recommend using sleep less frequently if you're not using Windows 11.

Q: My window locations or display arrangement has changed. How can I fix this?

If you can't upgrade to Windows 11, set the input of each display to DP (or VGA, HDMI, etc if using adapters). Avoid using Auto. Use the Scan button on the hub to help re-detect the displays. Afterward, use Display Settings to arrange the displays.

Q: Why can't I get all of my displays working?

If you are using DP to HDMI or DVI adapters, try using active adapters. Some video cards require them. Also, check with your video card manufacturer to make sure your video card supports MST and the number of displays you need.

Q: Multiple screens are connected to the MST hub, but I'm not able to get video working on all displays. How do I fix this?

4K 60Hz monitors may reserve full bandwidth; even when set to lower resolutions within the operating system. It's a good idea to try displays with a lower native resolution instead. For example: test using two 1920x1080 displays.

Q: Can I use an MST hub connected to my laptop docking station?

We don't recommend it. We suggest using USB video adapters if you need more monitors connected to your docking station. Examples: USB32DP4K, USB32DP24K60.
