I like the control of several parameters via software app. This gives a lot of control at your fingertips. I downloaded RAW software and bought its recommended calibrated microphone. Now I am experimenting to optimize the sound.Being a sealed subwoofer, the output is short tailed and controlled. The power is sufficient. Not fancy as the KEF's but very competitively priced.

Considering the price, it’s great.Works well in 500sqft room.

Great sub from SVS. I had it installed in a home theater with my Marantz AVR, it fills the room with great sound. Overall a good sub.

Replaced a larger but less powerful Axiom subwoofer. Immediate difference. Also they have great tech support, I emailed them and they CALLED AND EMAILED ME BACK within an hour, on the weekend.Very compact not boomy and can thump if you dial it up. Perfect for a smaller room.

If you are looking at this sub its probably because, like me, you already gone through a Klipsch KSW10, a Polk PSW10, etc etc etc and are wondering what it takes to get ACTUALLY good bass instead of boomy trash and port chuff.This is it. This sub (without any fine tuning) is such an improvement its almost offensive. Its very tight, refined bass that goes ridiculously low. The 1K price tag seemed a little steep at first but its 100% worth it. Love the app too for quick adjustments from the listening position.

EN verdad es un excelente subwoofer. Su tamaño es pequeño pero su potencia es alta y no distorsiona. Su precio me parece alto, pero su calidad y diseño es superior. Se maneja bien desde la app.

Bueno en general, hay aplicacion para el movil y hacer ajustes de sonido. Potente, buen sonido. Tengo otro subwoofer yamaha de 100w y en comparacion es mas potente, pero no mucho mas bueno en cambio hay mucha diferencia de precio. Para una habitacion de hasta 40 metros cuadrados el yamaha va bien por 200euros si necesitas mas, este es mas potente

I was a little wary of diving into subwoofer world, as I don't want to play bulging movie soundtracks through it, but extend the bass response of my hi-fi speakers (floor-standing Mission 763s from the 1990s).This compact little unit (just over a foot cubed) tucks neatly out of the way, but effortlessly adds just the right amount of bass in my ~5m x 4m living room.The SVS app (free to download from Apple and Android/Google Play stores) is great, enabling the cutover frequency to be set (so the subwoofer doesn't end up doubling the bass from your existing speakers and thus causing a boomy sound). It has so many parameters that can be adjusted but, as the very helpful SVS support engineer said, "Trust your ears". When you do that, it's quite straightforward to get it sounding really good.Perfect for classical, rock, synth-pop... you name it (including heavy metal, hard rock... or so I'm told - not my thing personally).What really won me over pre-purchase was the statement in the brochure for the SB-1000 Pro: "The subwoofer should add to the sound without unnecessarily drawing attention to itself". Just what I wanted, and just what the SB-1000 Pro does!
