Q: Does it have caller ID?

No the Clarity C200 Amplified Corded phone does not display caller id. This phone is powered by the power provided on your telephone line. Most phones that display caller id require an external power source.

Q: i cannot hear anything from the handset. the phone dials out but i hear no dial tone, nothing. am i missing something or is it defected? thank you

It might be defective, or it might be a problem with your land line. Did you try a different phone at that jack location? We have had no problems with our clarity 200, and really like it.
