Are use it for a general purpose “gaffer“ – style tape. It is very strong, and you have to cut it with a blade. I don’t mind doing that because it just means it is stronger in use. It just doesn’t tear easily. I can use it recently to tape over some branding information on my chemotherapy pump. I like to split it in half sometimes length ways to cover up some sharp edges on Bic lighters. I like the tactile feeling of this tape. I know this is a personal opinion, but take it for what it is. I bet it works really good as a hockey tape too, but since I know absolutely nothing about hockey I can’t really say for sure.

I don't play hockey, but I find a lot of uses for this tape around my shop and around the house. I bought it for using on handles for a better grip and less splinters but have since found other uses. Great for covering sharp edges on metal or creating non-slip surfaces on metal work benches. Good replacement for damaged or missing plastic grips on just about everything.

I’ve used this brand of tape for years on hockey sticks, goalie sticks, water ski handles, fire tools, and it holds up well.

Adhesive has a very strong scent that doesn't really go away. Adhesive also leaks through onto the top layer of the tape. Very grippy, though.
