I was initially pleased with the product. However, when I began using it with some knitting wool it sometimes snagged in the handle groove causing the stitches to pull out. I realised that the inner surface of the groove was not entirely smooth and the fibres of the wool were catching. My husband simply sanded the wood smooth and that cured the problem. Perhaps using cotton yarn would not have been a problem. That said, I am pleased with the product and have completed my first panel with no further issues. The handle is comfortable to hold, the length of the needle is appropriate and I think the price is satisfactory.

Poor quality product. #8 tip rough and damaged and not useable. Edges rough on both and damaged fabric. Would not purchase again.

I really really like these. Sadly, my foster puppy also liked them, and got to both and turned them to veritable toothpicks. Ugh! That said, while I did have them intact, I really liked how easy they were to thread and how smoothly the needle poked through the fabric. They seemed super sturdy too. Highly recommend; just remember to store out of reach of puppies.

I had to sand the wooden opening of both the punch needles(or else the yarn would get caught) but it worked fine after that. The metal needle part of thinner punch needle however isn't entirely sanded down, and will hook into the cloth while punching.So for me they weren't useable out of the box, but for that price I didn't mind having to do some customising to get them to work.
