For the money, one of the best knives I've ever used
I've worked in professional kitchens for years and used many knives, and honestly this is one of the best I have used. It out performs even some of the very expensive (£400+) hand crafted knives out there! It's extremely sharp out the box and is very quick to sharpen when it dulls slightly. It's a great shape, performs the function of several different knives and feels great to use for every task!Things to bare in mind, it's not hand forged as it claims to be but for under £60 you're not going to get a hand forged blade full stop. This knife is in fact a very good quality Chinese steel with high chromium content, an exact copy of a German steel used in some of the best kitchen knives around the world. It appears to be stamped steel that has has been patterned and shaped into a well balanced blade. It's a softer steel, so it won't hold an edge too long, however that isn't a downside if you sharpen your knives as this can be honed right back to razor sharp in less than 5 minutes. It's high chromium content means it won't rust on you, just don't put it in the dishwasher but you shouldn't do that to any knife. The quality of the handle seems to differ between knives they send, some could use some more wood coating/varnish and finishing but that's not hard to correct.Overall I would say this is the best knife you will find for the price and even some far more expensive.

Heck, it's sharp! Beautiful knife.
Super sharp...I cut myself putting it back in its sheath the first time I looked at it. The little point below the handle is surprisingly sharp...take care! Beautiful knife, though!

Superb knife
Ace knife for using at the bbq in the garden. Strong and durable blade with a quality wood handle.I found the case a bit less quality so I made a proper leather sleeve for it for when it's in my bbq kit bag with my other gear. Great knife though 👍🏻

Great
It isn’t hand made. It’s made in china. I know this because the packaging says so. However, it does look good and it’s extremely sharp and does everything you need it to do. It’s become our Sunday roast carving knife.

Great value, versatile knife
I can’t comment on longevity as we’ve not had the knife long, but it was sharp out of the box, is robust but not heavy and has proven very comfortable and versatile to cook with. In fact it has pretty much become the only chef’s knife I’m using for all tasks at the minute. PS we also bought and returned a Huusk knife, it was far heavier and more cumbersome than this.
