Ryka Women's, Vida RZX Training Shoe

These athletic shoes are out of this world! The way that they are made is very lightweight but extremely supportive. Regardless of how long you wear them and what you are doing you are always comfortable and supported. These shoes are great for dance and Court work as well as working out gym or just to wear casually. I love the color. Normally I would not go for a basic black shoe but this is not basic. The photos on the website shows the gold threads that are throughout the entire fabric on the shoe. It is much more impressive when you look at it in person. Subtle but still very there! My feet are extremely sensitive and these shoes are totally comfortable whether you are wearing a sock or going without a sock. I was looking for performance in the athletic shoes that I buy and I've certainly found it with this brand! This is not the only pair I own. They are that good!

The heel support is amazing--like a cushioned party at the back of your foot! Normally the heels of shoes are too big for me, but not these. The lateral support is also excellent. I do 15-30 minutes of dance cardio about 4 times per week in these. I have felt a tiny bit of discomfort in my knees (this is new)--so I am not sure about that yet. Also I expected more cushion/support at the front of my foot since I am up on my toes a lot for dance cardio. Because of other reviews, I ordered a half size up--however those were too big, so I reordered in my normal size of 7.5 and they fit perfectly.The main reason I ordered these was because I was experiencing extreme daily pain in my left foot and hip from my last shoes (Nike Frees) which were just not meant for the lateral moves in dance aerobics. So these Ryka's TOTALLY eliminated that pain, for which I am very, very happy. The colors on the shoe were true to the picture too.Overall, good for the price, however I will try the Ryka Influence Cross trainer for my next shoe since they have great reviews too.

I have had Ryka sneakers before but they discontinued the style. I used them mostly for the gym--cardio, weight resistance, zumba, tai chi and cardio. A very multipurpose shoe that was very comfortable. They tore after about 3 years of continued abuse so I was delighted to find these VIDA RZX. They fit perfectly: wide enough for a med width, long enough for 7.5 size, great arch support and the soles are not too big or heavy and they narrow at the arch of the foot. On day one I wore them all day long. The soles are comfortable for exercising, walking, dancing and standing in the kitchen cooking. I'm going to purchase a 2nd pair just to be on the safe side. I bought two versions of this particular style Ryka shoe. I really needed good arch support and these have it. They're comfortable and no break in period needed, at least for me. Usually you can feel that first few days in new shoes. I did feel the arch support but I was coming from no arch support so to be expected. The toe box is wider which I need having a wide foot. I can't wear some of the competitor shoes because they're narrow even in their wide versions. The other thing in this model is from about the ball of the foot through the arch the design holds, or grips, your foot, no rolling or sliding of your foot in the shoe. Comfortable all day support. Do wish it had just a bit more of a cushion on the insole.

I have bought Ryka shoes before so figured all styles would fit the same. As my other pair is very used, I couldn't tell what size I had bought before. Though other reviews had recommended getting a half size up, I went ahead and got my usual size. It did turn out to be a snug fit on the width when I first tried it on. And the shoelaces are short, just enough to tie up with a small bow, and I don't have wide feet. However I decided to give it a few days of trying it on to see how my feet felt. I've decided to keep it as the fit got a little better and hopeful it will last as long as my current pair has. Just be careful when ordering this brand; it appears there isn't much consistency on the "fit" percentages.And I'm financially disappointed because as soon as I receive my order, the price drops $4+ ~ not like I can just walk back in to a store with a receipt and see if they'll give me the better price...

A year ago, I first ordered this style of Ryku brand walking shoe., which was the first time ever i ordered walking shoes online. I wear a 9 and a half and this shoe's fit was spot on. I have a slightly narrow foot and this fit like a glove on my feet. The arch support was less than my previous store bought walking shoe. After about a month, I did not notice the lesser arch support because the all around cushioned foot support. was very good My recent second order is the same style and Ryko brand, but one pair was in a new color (pastels) and the other pair was in the same color as my original order (bright neon). Both pairs have the same fit as my first original order. I would purchase this same style and Ryko brand walking shoes, again.

Look, I wear a women's size 5.5 wide with high arches and it's nearly impossible to find shoes. The regular 5.5 in this style had a wide enough toe box that my short, fat little feet fit just fine. They were comfortable "no breaking in necessary" right out of the box, good arch support, springy and light. I loathe the color and these are still my new favorite shoes ever.
