MMOBIEL Molybdenum Cutting Wire Gold 0.08mm 100m/329ft for LCD Front Glass Seperation with Handle Dissection Sticks

Not sure if it's actually molybdenum (or whatever alloy it would be), but the wire is very small, very strong, and pretty hard. It took a heck of a lot of pulling to break this, which is astonishing because it's human-hair size stuff. When you snap it this way, the wire becomes very springy, suggesting it's pretty hard stuff.The sticks seem like they'll probably work out, but this wire is incredibly small. It's probably better to try and tie it onto the screw instead of holding it on with the screw itself. I don't intend to use it that way, so the sticks are basically waste for me.The spool is not a tall black spool as pictured: it's much, much smaller and clear. Other reviews are saying the 75 on it means you only get 75'; I checked and am pretty confident I got 100m on the spool. (OTOH, I'm kinda wondering just how fast everyone is going through this to need more than a few feet.)(I got the 5x pack of 0.08mm wire with handles, since there are multiple listings here.)

I tried using this stuff for separating the Macbook Pro touchbar off the case. It's glued with rather strong adhesive. While initially you may be able to slip this thin wire under the toucbar LCD strip -- it is so thin that it breaks literally in a few seconds. You'd spend more time rewiring the tool again with a new wire than actually using it.Please read other negative reviews. I was thinking that they were wrong, and was hoping for the best.. But my hopes haven't materialized. This product is really bad, wire is so fragile to the point of practically being entirely useless. It's thin, fragile, and ... NOT hard, but useless. It's probably not even molybdenum as claimed.

Excellent product

This was purchased to assist in the replacement of a broken cell phone screen.What arrived was a spool of very fine wire and two short sticks with a screw at one end.It did exactly what it was purchased for the wire passed between the broken glass and the actual LCD screen.There are probably several other uses for this wire such as replacing a cheese slicer's wire. (There is enough wire to slice a lot of cheese.)I will express one warning a little care should be used as the wire can break fairly easily if too much force is applied.

The hand tools aren't the best, but they are better than nothing. They aren't machine screws. They are very short and have very coarse wood/plastic threads. You also need to get them pretty tight to hold the wire, so I am sure I am going to end up breaking the handles by tightining it one day. I might flip it around at that time and DIY some better mechanism. They're essentially free though, so I can't complain too much.

This is the perfect product if you want to replace a screen that has a lot of glue.

I bought this to cut a beer bottle for a project and the wire didn’t even make a mark on the glass. It doesn’t cut glass and if u put more than 10lbs of pressure on the wire it will snap in half. The tool has absolutely no use because if you attach the wire to each side it’ll just come right out of the tool or snap in half. This is a waste of money.
