Great battery life
Time lapse for building a new house, good resolution, great night shots, 14 months in on first set of batteries. Temperature stops updating at -25C and some mornings the lens frosted over, but overall great compared to systems much more expensive or hard wired.

Good price performance ratio
Bought this camera with the specific purpose of monitoring a source of water infiltration under a suspended wooden floor of a rental shop. Although there are many time-lapse cameras at good prices, I could not find any that had a very long battery life and a light source (flash or similar) that could be used in complete darkness. We had to monitor the underfloor space while the shop was being used, so we had to avoid any disruption, noise, or interference with the shop. Also, single-shot pictures would not suffice to check the flow and source of water, the time-lapse video would be the best way to understand the problem. So far I have put the camera twice, two weeks per stretch taking pictures every 2 minutes. The camera has not had any issues, the light has worked as expected, and the videos have been key to understanding the situation. Video resolution is fine for the purpose; transfers to the PC have not had any issues either. The casing of the camera is extremely rugged and does not need any extra protection. Some reviewers have commented about the poor UI menus; personally, I have found them simple enough and without useless features. The UI is not very straightforward, but it is easy to get used to after a while. Battery life is great, a projected six months battery life takes the stress out of being let down by an interrupted video. Happy customer!

randomly stops recording
Confusing setup, and only worked for a few days before generating corrupt video files, when it didn't stop recording on its own.The setup is a bit on the confusing side and the UI is not very obvious. Some steps are single button, some require confirmation, some require scrolling to a save button to get to the next setup step. You really have to read the manual carefully and think things over to understand what they're trying to explain. Youtube videos and simple trial and error before final setup worked for me.First try: I setup 3 second interval photo timelapse to output a 30fps video which worked well for a bout 4 days. It outputs 2.1 GB files on a 512gb micro SD card. I stopped recording to see the results and thought everything was going great.Second try: Then the problems started. The next time I recorded a timelapse for multiple days I noticed the recording ended about 10 hours before i pressed the stop button, but only 6% of the SD card was used, and the batter was fine. Very odd. I thought maybe the batteries were just getting too low so i replaced them and tried again.Third try: the timelapse only recorded for a couple hours out of multiple days. I was pretty pissed. I wrote an email to the company, and never heard back after 48 hours - the duration of time their automated emails says it will take to respond.Fourth try: I used the format function on the camera to reset the SD card thinking maybe something got out of sync between the files and the video counter or something like that. Nope, same result. Sometimes I could get a full day of video output, sometimes it would only capture for an hour and stop on it's own. Followed up on my email with another one stating that the problem was getting worse.Fifth try: I used the time setting to only record for certain times of day, thinking, maybe that would cause the recording to restart even if it abruptly stopped the previous day. Nope. The recordings that did save were half corrupt. I had to process them through a transcoder app (handbrake on MacOS) just to be able to see what was in the video clip. The company wrote back a couple weeks later saying;"it is really hard to find out the case." Meaning they can't reproduce the issue, which is very surprising since half the reviews here are reporting similar problems."try a 256gb micro sd card." Well, i don't have one, nor do i have any reason to think it would change anything if they can't "find out the case" to figure out what the problem is and fix it."In worst case you may exchange the camera." Thankfully I managed to return it just before the cut-off. Not sure if it's worth trying another one [the manufacturer recommended exchanging].What a shame.

Unbelievably awful
Took a chance on this camera to capture our house build, and played with it for a while before we started construction. I had alot of trouble figuring out how to get it to actually record because the instructions leave a fair amount to be desired and everytime I tried it recorded nothing, but thought I had finally figured it out after finally getting several successful short term recordings.Placed it on our lot to capture dirt work and a few days later came to get the footage only to find there were no recordings. Took it home, checked settings, tested it, worked fine. Put it back on our lot to capture the placement of slab forms only to find no recordings a few days later. Took it home and tested again, got it working, thought I had figured it out. Placed it again the day before slab pouring. Tried to have faith in it (my mistake) and left it all the way through the majority of the framing, and just discovered after pulling the SD card (always formatted IN THE CAMERA ITSELF prior to attempting a recording) that it recorded just thon slab pouring day until randomly quitting at 8:36 pm and never recording anything else. So I bought this for one purpose and it completely failed me, and I missed my chance to capture a time lapse of our house being built because of this piece of garbage. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to whether it works or not. I'm extremely upset and wish I could at least get my money back but it's past the return window. Oh, after leaving it for 3 weeks (remember it didn't record anything past 8:36 pm the first day... less than 16 hours of recordings on a 512GB SD card which should hold about 30 days' worth based on my test videos), the camera is reporting a low battery. Don't they advertise the battery life is supposed to be good for 6 months of recordings?! I'm using the effing batteries they provided!!I'd end this review by saying "buy at your own risk" but instead I'll just say it'd be easier to simply set fire to your money, because the only thing you'll get from purchasing this camera (besides a lighter wallet) is an errand when you have to drop it at an electronics recycling center. Assuming you're conscientious enough to do that, and you don't just smash it with a hammer to relieve your anger.

Not user friendly
Menus are not user friendly and camera would not start automatically recording when scheduled.
