Leviton 2-Gang Decora/GFCI Device Wallplate, Standard Size, Thermoset, Device Mount, 80409-W, White

I don't see why people have so much hate over these being brittle. If you drop a chance of sorry will break like just to buy anything else. Overall it's a perfect fit for my sockets and I love them. There are very easy to install and very cheap too. They're actually the same price as my local hardware store so it avoids me a trip.

This plate served its purpose of replacing a broken switch plate that had been broken for years in a timeshare we go to each year. We got tired of looking at the broken plate and decided to replace it. Hope the other owners appreciate it. 😀

What you see is what you get. Works great.

Couple of things to address with this wall plate. First is the size. Some people are saying it’s smaller than normal. I can promise you it’s exactly the size it’s supposed to be. 4-1/2” X 4-9/16”. This is the standard size. As comparison, my old plate is 15 years old and got cracked while it was off the wall for painting (on left). The new plate is identical in size.There are 2 additional sizes if you want it to cover more area. The next size up is ‘midway” and finally, the largest is “oversized’ or “jumbo” depending on the manufacturer.Second is the type of material. This plate is “thermoset” which means it’s a hard plastic. It does NOT have any flex to it so if you don’t have a completely flat surface, don’t use this plate (or do what I do and run a little bead of caulk around edge; looks perfect after that). If you need a flexible plate, get one that says “thermoplastic “ or “nylon” (which is what most big box stores carry).I personally like the thermoset plates; think they look higher quality. And the price right now is crazy cheap; just a little over a dollar. I’ll be buying several more. And maybe I just got lucky but all 4 packages had all their screws.

I ordered this thinking Leviton would have good quality, but the plate didn’t sit flush against the wall. The screw holes didn’t align properly with the devices, and the plastic feels cheap and brittle. Tried on two different boxes—same issue. Ended up cracking one just trying to get it on. Really disappointed.
