When gifting this bag to school teacher, is it appropriate to use initial of first name or last name?

As a teacher, I would be thrilled to receive this beautiful bag with either initial, but preference would be for first name.

Didn’t wrap it but used it as the gift bag. It contained personal items for the bride to be and then used tissue paper to fill it in. Otherwise, maybe wrap it in Mylar or place in a larger gift bag.
