Solid knife, sharp right out of the box!The owner, Zach is an upstanding guy. Had one hiccup with delivery and he fixed the problem no questions asked! Will definitely be recommending Kratos, for quality and customer service. I willl be a returning customer.

Disappointed
Very poor workmanship (see photos). Sheath is an absolute joke. Curvature and belly of blade seems right for skinning smaller game but blade may not be enough for deer sized game and gut hook is poorly cut and way off center.

Low QA inspected
This knife seemed so nice on the site. In reality the handle should be bigger; it's more for a women, child, or very small male hands. The rivets in the handle were not smoothed down to the handle material; you could actually cut your hand on the rivet, which shows that QA for this product does not hold up to their description of their quality made knife.I found this same type of quality from kitchen knives I once ordered from Australia.Makes you wonder if the same production line is turning this knife out. Would return for an exchange but I don't believe their QA, is high enough to catch the next one off the line. It's sad because I was going to order a half dozen for gifts.

High quality at a great price
One of the best knives for skinning game that I've ever owned. It's amazing how it keeps a razor Sharpe edge after several uses. And the price coming in at under $50.00 with this quality you won't find anywhere else.

excellent knife!!!
This knife came in a very protective box. It feels well made there is no wobble or looseness anywhere. It came sharp enough to shave my arm hair. The handle is a little slim compared to other knives I have, but it still feels comfortable in my hand. I like how the blade has a nice curve to it so you can get a long clean slice. The grain of wood used for the handle is really cool looking. The sheath is decent, but I had a little issue with it as I was drawing and un-drawing it from the sheath, the blade was making contacted and was cut into the bottom of it. Other than that this is a really good knife.

Excellent hunting that’s actually functional
This knife I requested on Amazon is not only a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, but one of the most functional hunting skinning knives I’ve used. The high carbon stainless steel blade allows it to retain an edge very well, plus it’s full tang which gives it additional balance and strength. 154CM Type Steel blades however can be somewhat brittle so even though the edge stays sharp longer it could chip if dropped or used to process your game and you were to chop at a bone with it, so just be careful when boning with it.It does have a drop point tip though which is good for processing game and a feature I really love in particular is how they placed the gut hook further back from the tip. So many knife manufacturers always put the gut on the tip so you then end up with either a hook or a point, but not both which you will have if you purchase this hunting knife. For a functional knife like this, which is essentially a tool the handle is also important and for me I like the way the grip feels on this wood handle. I particularly like how deep the contour at the base of the blade comes in and out to stop your finger from accidentally sliding up onto the blade when working with conditions that are likely outdoors and wet. You also can never go wrong with having a hole to fix a lanyard to your essential survival equipment when going out.I personally always love leather cases, which honestly are probably not the most practical in the wild for metal, especially with exposure to the elements, but you can change a case or maintain your blade to compensate. So I absolutely have zero negative feedback for this knife and very much recommend it!I would like to offer one suggestion to the manufacturer though, maybe a future model almost exactly the same but instead of 42mm from spine to edge, reduce it down to maybe around 38mm which I think would make it even more versatile than it already is especially for skinning different size game.In conclusion,I want to emphasize that this particular item was provided to me at no cost through Amazon’s Vine program.Vine reviewers aren’t actually employed by Amazon, as such we don’t receive monetary compensation for reviewing the items provided to us and we are responsible for any applicable taxes. As an incentive for us providing its customers with TRUE and AUTHENTIC feedback good or bad based on our experiences using the products Amazon does allow us to keep the items after Reviewing. This is Amazon’s way of helping its customers make better informed decisions about the products in which they are about to purchase.I would also like to make it clear that I’m not employed by any other sellers, manufacturer’s or advertisers. So I sincerely hope this gives you peace of mind that all of my ratings are credible, having not been influenced in any way by outside sources and based solely on my personal opinions.Thank You!

Good Knife, Good Tool
This is a very handy, short, fixed blade knife. Its' compactness, ( 3 1/2" blade), makes this a handy tool to have readily available in your tool box, glove box, or hiking pack. I was particularly pleased with the robust design and construction. Although originally purposed as a skinning knife for hunters, it is ideally suited for opening over wrapped packaging, opening garden bags, camping chores and even as a pry tool. The blade is quite beefy and appears to be quite strong. The sheath is well constructed and is tan dyed leather. The stitching is good and the fit is snug. The snug fit is relieved over time with keeping the knife in it. The leather will ease to fit. The securing strap is secure and keeps the knife safely within the sheaf. The belt loop is attached to the sheaf by rivets. The wood handle is attractive and the knife fits comfortably in the palm. Nice ergonomics.Although a fixed blade knife is usually clumsy to be considered as an EDC, the ZFS3 Gut Knife actually fits sheathed in the front pocket of blue jeans; another advantage due to its overall short length.Pros:Durable construction.Handy size.Adequate secure sheath.Cons:May be fatiguing for cutting heavy lines or rope due to short leverage.I have been intrigued by this handy knife and find that I am using it rather than my folder knives.

Small smooth handle
The handle is too small for a man with even medium size hands. The handle is very nice looking but too slick for safe camp or hunting use I think. I like my NEDFOSS camp knife better, but it is a very nice looking piece.
