Charmian Women's Spiral Steel Boned Steampunk Gothic Bustier Corset with Chains

I didn't expect much from a corset this cheap. . .and then I was blown away. I have spent a lot of money on less detailed corsets and this one is just. . .amazing. AMAZING.If you are new to corsets - you will want to do a little research on sizing. I got myself a Large (6-8) because I'm like a size 8. I did loosen it a little and it was very comfortable.The front is amazing - I love the clasps. So much easier than the eye-loop things. Also, it's metal. Impressed. The clasps are functional, beautiful, fantastic. The detailing chains on the side are also really nice. I did manage to somehow pull one of the buttons - nothing a stitch can't fix. I love how the chains move and look against the fabric. OMG, the fabric. It looks so good in the light. .in the dark. .whatever. The print is subtle but so pretty and it will shine in light. The ties in the back are good quality - and they tie in up in the nice way that I can't do. IDK, man, I don't have those skills. You do have a panel if you wear the ties lose to hide your skin (modest panel) or you can easily have it to the side so show some open skin. Either way, it is not uncomfortable.Some people commented on the "bones" not being real metal. I mean, the corset holds you in just fine. Most of my corset bones are not metal and I prefer that so I'm not sure what these are.I wore this over a couple days for long periods of time and it stood up to all my movements without bending, breaking (minus popping that one side button) or losing anything. Some of this is because I also know how to buy and wear a corset - the rest is because it's well built and not scratchy or awkward against my skin.I got tons of compliments on this piece and I'm sending everyone here. If I need another style, I am totally going to buy from Charmian.

Fantastic quality, comfortable, I have a long torso and it fits me well and makes the girls look great.

Colors are a royal/rich hue, the claps in front and lace in back are incredibly durable, and the sizing is pretty accurate. I'm 5ft 6in, about 37 bust with 35 waist, and large fits with plenty of ability to make smaller or larger with ease. The very top is slightly loose- but will easily form and fill with a dress shirt underneath. I was worried about not being able to adjust if it was too small or too large but this fit perfectly for me and the colors are BEAUTIFUL! Worth every dime and I look forward to enjoying the corset even after the wedding I bought it for!

This is an absolutely beautiful corset, but unfortunately it is not true to size. I ordered a medium, because that’s the size I wear, and this was at least 1 size too small. So definitely order up a size. But it is very well made, heavy duty absolutely gorgeous!!

It looks much nicer in person. Very sturdy and cute. Worth the investment.

I was skeptical at first because of the 2 size charts (one for Amazon and one for the company brand). I am vey busty (34 E) and gained a little bit more weight around the middle since pandemic but long torso and worried if this would be too short! I presumed I would order XL even though the suggestion was a Large. I am so glad I ordered up and happy I didn’t follow the advice of others saying they purchased 3X!!! That would have been way too large. The back has awesome ties the thickness of shoelace heaviness for tying up the corset as snug as you can stand it. The front closures are difficult to secure without help from someone but they were really sturdy. I kept checking on them most of the night just in case they popped open and no mishaps!The leather boning on the outside is well made and holds its shape. I also was looking for a less expensive option than this one but it most definitely exceeded my expectations!! LOVED the color, loved the fit, loved the style and happy I purchased this particular one.Everyone at my gala had black or white corsets for their Steampunk outfits and I was the only one with this dark brown and it was perfect. I purchased a black lace blouse to wear underneath. The chains did not fall off and they added to the whole look of my outfit. Best made corset I have found! Would highly suggest it but definitely go with your instinct on sizing. I measured 45” in bust and the sizing would have had me at the 3 or 4X and that would have been extremely wrong!
