Tiger thermos electric kettle 800ml white Wakuko PCF-G080-W Tiger

The boiler is simple to use and it's built with safety first. The water boils in less than 5 minutes. VERY FAST! I have it for over 2 months now, and do not have a single complaint. The product is also easy to clean.

My previous electric kettles lasted about 7-8 years, and it was time to buy a new one. My preference was a stainless steel one but opted for plastic exterior so it won't get too hot to touch. This is a Japanese market kettle (no English manual) and clearly stated in the manual, but I have had it for a year and so far no problem. To operate this, you just make sure that top button is in "up" or closed position, and once water boils, you press the button to "down" position to pour hot water out. This prevents boiling water from spilling out - a very nice feature. Initially I was concerned with a low total volume (0.8L), but it boils so fast, so it's not a issue. The spout is pointy enough for making pour-over coffee. There is a red warning insert that came with the unit - the lists of what NOT to do: don't boil the water in unlocked position (this is top center button), don't boil the water with no lid, don't place the electric cord besides the small cutout section of the base, and don't boil the water when the body is not inserted to the base correctly. Also, the manual recommends to use citric acid as cleaning solution for stainless steel inside bottom.April 2025 - still works, using every morning and sometimes in evenings.

Purchased the Tiger hot water pot for home use but to my surprise the hotel in Japan that I stayed in had the same Tiger hot water pot! Reassured me on the durability of the product because if it can withstand the wear and tear of hotel use it is well made. It heats the water up quickly and easy to use! Definitely a great purchase!

The kettle is manufactured for use in Japan and other countries that utilize 100 volts. The US uses 120 volts so unless you intend to spend $140 for a high-wattage step-down voltage converter, you will be supplying 20% more voltage than the product is rated for. The kettle will still work but commenters more knowledgeable than me have indicated that it may result in a shorter lifespan of the product, risk of fire or neither if the product is engineered for the increased voltage. Just so you know.

It’s cute, small but very efficient! I use it at bedroom just in case we need to a hot drink!This kettle also with safe switch for pouring water! I think this is the best part I like it!

I'm very sad to report that my Tiger Wakuko quit working in 2 months. I used it at work, a few times a day/5 days a week. I have read the manual and tried everything. While it worked, I loved it. I know Tiger is a good brand so I am really disappointed.

Fast boil. Use all at once because of no keep warm function but I knew that prior to purchase.
