Nickelodeon Plush Bubble Guppies Gil

I ordered all three (Mollie, Gil and Bubble Puppy) for my 8 month old niece's Christmas present. The tag says for ages 3 and up but these are 100% plush toys, with no little pieces that could possibly break off and be swallowed so safer for younger children as well.They are also amazingly cute. They are larger and better quality then I expected for an $11.99 toy. I knew the relative size from the product dimensions listed on amazon and they are accurate but I was pleased to find the toy more substantial then I had originally envisioned. It's a good handful for an adult and perfect hug and carry size for our little one, who's just starting to walk.These dolls are also much cuter in person than the screen shots show. I expected these to be more of a quick humor gift. Something funny to open up Christmas morning that the adults would appreciate more than the kids but not something that would be played with much. Good thing they are cuter then the pictures because they get played with a lot.I must say they are pretty durable. I can't attest to how well they hold up with older kids but for a toy that gets chewed, crawled over, thrown and fallen on regularly it's held up well. I haven't tried washing it yet so can't attest to the durability on that end. The tails are a more silky material so I doubt they'd wash well.My niece is absolutely enthralled with Bubble Guppies and has been since only a few months old. It's a cute cartoon for sure, although I'm not sure what it is particularly about this one show that mesmerizes her so much. She doesn't have any real interest in T.V. yet and other then a passing glimpse at the screen during other cartoons she's pretty much oblivious to every other baby show out there. That said, as soon as the first few strums of the Bubble Guppies theme song starts playing she immediately turns to the TV and can't look away.

When I first saw these they were pre-order only for $11.99. I procrastinated and didn't purchase them right away. By the time I came back to them, they were sold out. When they were finally available again, the mark up was insane!! I was upset that I missed out on the $11.99 price. However, after reading through other reviews and seeing that other people waited it out, I did the same. I checked them everyday a couple times a day and finally got lucky. I was able to purchase all 3 for $11.99. All 3 didn't drop in price together, but over the course of about an hour and a half. For me Gil was the first to drop in price, and it happened around 9pm EST. Gil was only available for about 8 minutes at $11.99. Bubble Puppy was next and he was available for almost 35 minutes at $11.99. I almost gave up on Molly because it was about an hour later that she dropped to $11.99. Like Gil she was only available at that price for about 10 minutes.I would definitely say if you can wait it out and try to only pay the $11.99. The mark up is ridiculous and if possible, no one should feed into that insanity!Overall I am ecstatic with the product. They are adorable and durable. I love all 3 of them. Now I wish they would come out with the rest of the characters!

Not big but a small stuffed toy that my niece loved.

Let me start by saying that my daughter (2 1/2) LOVES bubble guppies. How could you not??? I was able to get my hands on all three at the 11.99 price after hours upon hours of refreshing my phone to monitor the price change. And oh does it change.. ($27, $22, $20 etc). I first started searching for the dolls a week ago after it dawned on me that it would be THE BEST gift for my toddler who loves the show so much. I only found them on amazon. I was hesitant to pay the ridiculous price for one doll. I was considering it UNTIL I read the reviews. The prices change, it seems, every few minutes or so. Molly and Gil were the easiest to purchase at the low price as they dropped at the same time. That was this morning at about 10:15AM. They were at this price for almost an hour. Order secured. Bubble puppy was the hardest as the change in price didn't happen at the same time. At about 1PM, the price dropped. I rushed to place the order only to have AMAZON decline the order saying Bubble Puppy was no longer available. Imagine my frustration. I kept trying and was finally able to secure my order for bubble puppy at 4:19pm. A part of me feels as if this is the ultimate in marketing schemes to get you to buy the dolls.. The allure of getting that 11.99 price was overwhelming. they also try to get you with the "Only 1 left in stock" gimmick.. Don't believe the hype. Scheme or no scheme.. these dolls can not be found anywhere (shame) and amazon offers the best pricing. Putting all the frustrations aside, I can not wait to see the look on my baby girls face x mas morning when she sets eyes on these treasures. Priceless!! Moral of the story.. if you have a child that loves the show as much as my baby does, with just a little patience (who am I kidding.. A LOT of patience), you can get them without paying a ridiculous price for them.

much better quality and craftsmanship than the ones you find at toysrus. it is not a bath toy though as its listed, which was a pleasant surprise as it completes my daughter's set! its nice to have gil match the others in size and quality.This is still one of her 3 most treasured toys, along with Deema and Nonny. She takes them everywhere with her, and they are certainly showing her love. They all start with the seam on the neck and back splitting, then around the neck weakens and tears eventually (i've had to sew Gil's head back on three times now). Of course we've bought replacement guppies, and she prefers her original ones. I would still suggest them though because of the love and joy my little one has for them!
