I used these to give my kitty meds when he was sick and needed five different pills/tablets at once. Absolutely a life saver, and can fit quite a few small pieces inside. I still have some months later incase they are needed again, and the bag does have a seal.

Makes it much easier to give my picky dog meds. She would spit out or all-out refuse one of her daily meds. I guess it’s too bitter. Vet recommended using capsules and since I started using them, it’s no longer a problem.

We have to give our cat a liquid allergy medicine and unfortunately it is very bitter so she refuses to take it orally. I found these and they are the perfect size to fit her dosage and small enough to easily give her. I just fill the capsule, close it and wet it with a little water to make it slippery so when I give it to her, she can easily swallow it. Love it!

These capsules have greatly simplified the process of giving my dog his medications that are in tablet form. He has chronic pancreatitis and diabetes so I can't hide his pills in anything except his prescription dog food. He spits out even the tiniest pieces of his pills. He takes 6 different medications, 4 of which are tablets. I cut the tablets into small pieces and put the pieces in the capsule. They snap together so they don't come apart unless you overfill them.

Mar 2024 - I recently bought more of these empty pill capsules and was disappointed that they weren’t exactly the same size as the first order. Per the packaging specs, looks like they should. Taking one star away. Hopefully my cat does not have any problems with these.Oct 2023 - So glad I still had these on hand. My cat had to take Gabapentin for a few weeks. After giving my cat the 100mg capsule he was prescribed, I decided it was too strong and wanted to split the dose in half for a.m. and p.m. pilling. These empty caps were perfect for that. I was able to pick at and remove the top off of the 100mg cap and then I gently squeezed the powder into two of my empty caps. It worked great. Also, because the cat will eat treats out of my hand, I fed him the gel cap, along with a Temptation Treat broken in 2. To top it all off with delicious yummyness, I put a dollop of Churu meat tube on top and he snarfed it out of my hand. Then he got 1/2 of the meat tube and his sister got the other half. This made pilling for 2 - 3 weeks not a problem. Whew!Aug 2020 - Have to give my cat 3/4 of an antibiotic pill for 6 weeks. After they are cut, they are no longer smoothly coated. She had a pill to take in a gel capsule when I first got her home. That went down super easy, so I looked for gel capsules to purchase. These are the same length but not as wide. It worked fine, though, to cut the pills in 4 pieces. Then, working with them like puzzle pieces, I easily got 3 pieces in the capsule. They go down like a charm - once I manage to get them in her mouth! It’s hard to coordinate the pill placement when she’s wriggling. I made my own pill dispensing chute by cutting the plunger end off an old pet syringe I’d saved (and filed the end smooth). That way, I can slip the pill in more easily than placing with my big fingers.

Great quality. Insurance won't pay for my 2 30mg pills anymore, only 1 60mg. So i use these to 1/2 my dosage like i need! Grateful they exsist!!

I got my cat back after his I-131 radiation treatment for hyperthyroidism, and I had a couple of different meds to give him. It was super annoying because the pills were so small. They would fall out of the pill shooter or get stuck. I originally got these pill pockets but found them to be a bit bigger than needed. I ultimately switched to size 4 and size 5. I use size 5 for just one of the meds and size 4 when I need to give both. They fit perfectly in the pill shooter and come out on the first try. I can control better where it goes and get it right down his throat rather than on the side where it would end up in his cheeks and be spit out later. I think they also help to mask the taste of the meds, so he doesn’t hold it in his mouth as long, wanting to spit it out. He swallows it right away. I can’t recommend these enough. They are perfect for my situation and budget-friendly. My only mistake was getting the clear ones instead of a variety of colors. The clear ones were easy to miss if he happened to spit one out. Having multiple colors helped me use a different color for each med and another for when both are in one. Still giving these the full 5 stars even though they weren't what I needed. That was my fault, and the smaller sizes from this same company were exactly what I needed. I'll find something else to use these for :)

The product is as described. However, the bag was short 50 capsules. Instead of the full 500 capsules, it was actually 450 capsules. Bummer.
