GREAT PRODUCT !
Bought this to help me on my mom's remodel/repair project in her house. She had a lot of nail pop-outs, bad tape seams, and damage from mounting hardware over the years. This gun was great, I tried a couple of other devices from Home Depot ....... The Wagner electric texture gun and a hopper gun setup that construction guys use to spray rooms. These failed, I returned both. I saw this Ez-Pro on Amazon and took a gamble and bought it and am happy with it. Just like any other texture shooting device there is a learning curve and with this gun you have to learn the air pressure, mud thickness, and squeezing the bag. I only shot a small orange peel texture to match the old texture. The gun is easy to clean which is a big plus and small in size, easy to move around. I did not give it 5 stars because of the cost of the texture bags and the cost of shipping to get them. Every outlet that sold them does not know of USPS Priority Mail !!??? I found a way to refill the original bags with mud that I mixed up myself, so saving a lot. You can buy a lot of mud for $15.00 !!! The bags run $5 to $6 per bag. I orginally bought 4 bags and reused them quite of few times with no problems. Saved myself about $140.00 by reusing the bags. I used a meat marinade injector, took the metal tip off and it fit tightly into the opening of the Ez-Pro bag just right to fill the bags.

Wow! Easy and great for neat freaks like me
This is a fantastic invention! I'm someone that does a lot of projects big and small but hate the clean up and prep for it. This cut my work time in 1/3. The gun costs about the same as a hopper, the mud ends up costing about 2 to 3 times the cost. I'll pay the extra $ anytime for the time savings. I did a wall approx 8x9 ft of very heavy knockdown. It took 2 coats, about 1 hour apart, and 10 bags. Again, this was very heavy knockdown that I was matching. I would estimate orange peel to be only about 4 bags and one coat for the same wall. I would recommend this for anyone. All you need is a compressor. If you've used the spray cans of texture before it is very similar but about 1/4 the price of that. If they could also make a bag that it a little thicker in consistancy(as a second product choice), it would work even better for people like me doing heavy knockdown.

Phenomenal texture gun
Used this for several years now. Rhise that gavw it one syars need ro try it again. Bettwr then the cans. More consistwnt and marching textures. You have to set the air pressure in alignment to the texture you're trying to duplicate just like the hoppers. Loq pressure, bigger globs. Also, squeeze the texture bag to force more material into the air flow for desired texture. It is an art form mastering drywall textures. Makes small texture jobs a breeze compared to the pumps that are very messy. And it is easy to clean and put away. And, the bags are spareable unlike cans if you don't use them to empty. Only complaint is not having a refillable bag but I can deal with that for the convenience, lack of waste and easy clean up.

Very easy
Great tool, no cleanup, Ready to go! Buy yourself a good flexible knockdown plastic trowel.

and wasted another bag on a terrible looking spray that I'm ...
I've repaired tons of sheetrock, using a full size texture gun, and the cans for small repairs; this is a substitute for neither. Despite having a compressor more than capable for this, I was unable to get a consistent spray pattern for knockdown or orange peel. I went through an entire bag simply trying to get the balance of squeezing and pulling the trigger, and wasted another bag on a terrible looking spray that I'm going to have to scrape off and redo. I would immediately return this item for a refund if I could. If you need small patches, stick with the can. Otherwise, buy a real texture gun if you're doing remodels.

Expensive and Results not impressive
I used this system to shoot a ceiling repair. I needed to match a Heavy knockdown. It did a decent job for orange peel or fine knockdown but found it almost impossible to create a heavy knockdown. After wasting 8 bags I gave up on it.

wish I could return it
I wish I had used the gun before the deadline to return it. I was really disappointed when I finally tried it out. I used up a whole bag for a minor patch. Very difficult to get a good texture pattern. I'm sure the rep on the video demonstrating the product has gone through a ton of bags before he was able to get it right. For small patches, I'm going back to the can for small patches, even as bad as the cans are, they're better than this. I was really looking forward to this working out.

Small Patch Wonder
Having only used the full sized texture gun for projects, I have always been frustrated when finishing up small patch areas. This unit has put an end to that frustration. Spraying texture on 6" patch areas without having to empty the room first is fantastic. It has saved me hours already. Well worth the cost and more.
