Some really useful information in this book for those trying to identify the cause of and possible treatments for their tailbone pain. The book is very well written, easy to read and understand.I hope he will release a future edition that includes the latest research and useful exercises for managing tailbone pain.

Appreciate this informative book
Thank you so much for writing this book. I found it informative. I was hoping it would have gone further in depth about symptoms of painful or dislocating coccyx, but it was still informative none the less.

Very informative
I've struggled with unexplained tailbone pain for years and doctors have no clue how to fix it and are not much help. This book gave me hope and answers for relief some day!

A must read by anyone sufferring or treating coccyx pain
Very informative book about numerous factors that can also be causing pain/ issues as a result of your coccyx. Focused more on non-surgical treatment options then coccygectomy, but it also covers information about the last resort coccygectomy surgery.Found alot of useful information within the book but also on coccyx.org it's imperative that you have a x-ray or MRI of your coccyx/ sacrum area to get a actual diagnosis. And not all doctors are equally educated regarding your tailbone unfortunately. I literally handed my physician this book and told him to read this book to better understand what I was dealing with so he could prescribed or send referrals to the correct physicians. I was tired of being told that it wasn't my tailbone and would look at my hip or back for issues.

basic information, outdatd
The book has lots of references for more information, it lacks physical therapy exercises or things to do to help yourself. The author should write a second edition with more current information and self help steps.

If Your Back or Butt Hurts, get this Book!
This is an excellent resource for ANYONE who is suffering from tailbone issues. The huge plus is that it is written by an MD who specializes in tailbones ... not just another chiro who deals with "back pain" or the family doc who really is clueless to what is really going on. I bought a copy for my daughter who fell years ago and has had continued pain. Personally, I was clueless about all the problems that may be behind what causes it--from childbirth, infections, falls, joint issues, arthritis (I didn't know that could happen), cancer and so much more. My take-away is that the tailbone is far more critical to our over-all well being than few are aware of. A small fracture can easily radiate out to surrounding tissues and other parts. Many think of it as a dinosaurian part ... but the fact is, it's part of what's inside of us--we all need to know what to look for in symptoms and where to get help. I like the section on the different types of xrays you need (so not the standard ones) and critical questions to ask your doctor. It's delivered in four sections: causes, treatments, special situations and a summing up. With winter coming on (snow and ice falls), I'll be recommending this book to all.Judith Briles

A Must to Read. Fantastic, Informative, Knowledgeable !
The most informative and helpful book about not uncommon, yet ignored by most of medical experts, an extremely painful condition: an injured in an accident, child delivery or disformed due to arthritis Tailbone. Most of patients with this complain are simply ignored by their doctors, even in Emergency Rooms across many countries. The book of Prof. Patrick M. Foye is the ONLY source for both, Patients to navigate their doctors to reach full benefits from healing, but also for Physicians to become familiar with this topic as it is ignored in most of Medical School teaching programs. Knowledge from reading this book literally changed my life after a four years long, 24/7 agonizing pain, back to enjoying every day as it was before my skiing accident!!!
