Our choices of litter, especially for kittens
We foster kittens for a local shelter. As the little ones start to learn about using the litter box, they often want to *taste* the grains in the box, as if like human baby that has to mouth everything. :D So, clay litter is out!Between Pidan and the other corn-based litters, we like Pidan MUCH better. No dust!! (Good for us and the cats!) It tracks much less, has very good odor control, and seems to last quite a long time. It works with the sifting litter box. Initially, it did take a few days for the kittens to get used to use it. We just left it in the room, scooped in some of their own *waste* form the other box. Once they figured out that it is, they chose Pidan over the other boxes.

Best I've ever used
After trying about 6 different litters, all silica sand types, I was fixed to this one via Reddit. Every litter claims "Low Dust, Low Tracking, Superior Odor Control".We have 4 cats, 6 boxes. 4 boxes are SoPhresh pine pellets, 1 is regular clay. The box in my room is the one I've struggled to find the best litter for because my cat, who sleeps in my room, is extremely picky. Using the various silica Sands, I was stepping in same constantly. Sweeping our vacuuming 2-3 times a day. After a few days, post fresh litter, the box started to smell and only got worse from there.Pidan is freaking awesome. I don't smell anything. I understand olfactory fatigue, but I would smell it when I come home from work, and absolutely don't. There is very small amount of scatter, I'm only sweeping every other day. The clumping is perfect. The pee wall, it comes right away from the box, no chisel required. I use a Litter Genie and change the bag every 2 weeks. It is not super heavy either. This litter last a long time too.I cannot recommend it more. Hope this was helpful.

NO smell!!!
This stuff is amazing! We just adopted a cat a month ago and have been using another brand of tofu litter. I didn't realize when I bought it that the litter had a slight scent that at first was nice but after a couple days it became nauseating as the scent became associated with cat waste, and it didn't absorb the smell of cat waste at all, just covered it with fragrance. We were constantly running the fan in the bathroom where the litter is in order to get rid of both the smell of cat waste and the scented litter, and that bathroom is right by the front door so definitely not fun to come home to. I did a deep clean of the litter box the other day and switched to Pidan, and oh my goodness it's night and day. The litter itself has NO smell, it must absorb the smell of waste immediately because I can't even tell when kitty poops and have had to check that she is indeed going #2, and we haven't had to run the fan at all since we switched over. It also clumps harder than the other brand making it easier and faster to scoop. I wish these came in large buckets instead of small little bricks!

Fantastic litter
I don't understand the one review by Ashley that claims the scent is vile. I think her cat msut have a medical issue. I have been using newspaper litter pellets for 10 years because I cannot stand the tracking of clay. . I have to completely empty the entire box and clean it twice a week. It contained the urine smell ok, not great, but did not track. The tracking thing is my biggest concern. I hate feeling clay bits on bare feet, and clay tracks horribly. The newspaper pellets are big and rarely track. So when I saw Pidan, I thought this may be great, let's give it a go! The photo makes the pellets look larger than they actually are. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the pellets, cuz they are small. I thought to myself, uh-oh, these will probably track. But hey, come to find out, it is not as much as I initially thought. I have a towel under the litter box and I have one cat that is a big digger, so he is always digging hard and stuff comes out onto the towel, so I just lift the towel and pour it back into the box. The clumping capacity is great. I throw the poops in the toilet, and the clumped balls of urine in the trashcan...and guess what? They never smell! The litter by itself has a super light vanilla smell....and the clumped urine has no smell. So it can remain in my open trash basket for 3-4 days until trash day without odor! This little point I am flabbergasted by, cuz everyone knows how bad cat pee can smell. So, you will occasionally have to pick up the tracked pellets, but they are few, and everything else is positive. With that note, I still give this litter 5 stars, and I have been a cat owner for 35+ years, and I will never go back to clumping clay, no matter how great the commercials are!

Smells nice, and best litter I’ve tried
I’ve tried all the litters from clay to silica and this is by far my favorite. All the other litters that say “dust free” are straight up lying, dust clouds galore. This one is actually dust free. It clumps as well if not better than clay but doesn’t do the wet clay tracks thing that happens sometimes with clay. I can literally put the clumps in an open trash can and they don’t smell like anything. So much better at blocking ammonia smell than crystals or clay. The litter itself has a pleasant slightly cake batter kind of smell. Poop isn’t deodorized really at all so I always just scoop that right into the toilet. It’s a lot lighter than clay too so easier to take to the trash chute every few days than clay litter. I will never go back to crystal or clay litter. This is the best apartment friendly litter system when you add in tarp material pan liners. OH! And it tracks sooo much less than crystal or clay omg.

i’ve tried many cat litter…this one smells terrible, no smell control BUT it does clump well and doesn’t stick to the box (i use a metal box and a metal scoop)can last a longer time, a bit of dust, easy to clean, no tracking, price is better than othersjust stinky
