I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first. I bake often, so regular brown sugar doesn't usually stay in the pantry long enough to harden. However, I occasionally use muscovado (India Tree, available here on Amazon), and although I keep it in an airtight cannister, it still tends to dry out and become a block rather quickly. I ordered these, and as soon as they arrived, I prepped them as instructed (make sure they are dry before putting them in your sugar!) and inserted one in my regular brown sugar cannister and one in the muscovado. Within fifteen minutes, the brown sugar was like new. It took a bit of mixing with a fork to break up the muscovado, but it was already softer, and just another fifteen minutes later, the entire cannister full was as fresh as when I bought it. No more throwing away dried sugar or trying to soften it in the microwave with a bowl of water (which has never worked for me) - this is all you need. Excellent product that does what it says, and it's a real value - definitely worth it!
