This really is a very well thought out and manufactured food waste bin for indoor use. It’s not cheap but we have found that it is well worth every penny having previously purchased cheaper alternatives. It really looks good,with an inner box to take the waste bag, lid on the outer container is a good secure fit which will deter flies. It will take the normal green waste bag of 7 lts which will need just tucking inside, as the capacity is 4 lts. Overall very happy great purchase.

I bought this after getting a new kitten who would jump up on the worktop after I'd gone to bed and attack the liner leaving it shredded. It also meant she could get at the food inside too. This looked to be a bit more robust than the plastic caddy and also much more aesthetically pleasing.It looks really smart and matches the grey and white kitchen well. The cat has ignored it completely so I guess that means it is containing the food odours. It came with 30 liners which are strong and fit perfectly and they are very easy to change. It looks much nicer now that the liner is not visible like on my old caddy.I tend to empty it daily, or at least every other day, so haven't had a problem with flies like some people have mentioned. It doesn't hold that much so it needs to be emptied frequently which is fine by me.So far I've not found any negatives that I could mention. It is quite pricey, but worth forking out for as there are not really many others like this around. It looks great, does the job and is cat-proof!

I’ve replaced the dog food bin, the rubbish bin and the food rubbish bin together. Not cheap, but it makes the kitchen look tons better! I like the way this hooks on the side of the waste bin - the fastening is a robust, but easy to lift off and on

Great size and shape compost bin sits well on counter but sadly doesn’t work with my Simple Human rubbish bin (I suspected this when I purchased so haven’t subtracted stars based on that). The minor issue is that sadly the lid isn’t airtight nor does it lock so little fruit flies can squeeze through which I’d not found a problem with before.

Looks great on the existing bin, and much better than having the brown one from the council awkwardly taking up space in the kitchen.

Perfect size for a countertype caddy. Kept near the sink so easy to use to clear plates before washing. Lid did break from hinges after a year however Simple sent a replacement bin once I contacted them. Comes with free Simple liners however have since used cheaper supermarket version and they work just as well.

I'm surprised at simple human in the design of this given how great the rest of their product line are. This compost bin doesn't actually contain smells. The lid is made from plastic and has a small lip on the front that prevents the rest of the lid for sealing tight, leaving a mm gap around the bin. The caddy is also quite slim which again looks great but is tricky when scraping leftovers not to hit the sides of the bin. I wouldn't want to attach this caddy to the side of my bin as near our living room.
