what I like most about this style of palm rest protector is that it is in two pieces and will work with hardshell cases! it comes at separate pieces, one for the left side of the palm, rest, and one for the right side.typical palm rest protectors come in one piece where there are skinny portions connecting both the left and right palm areas by bridging above and below the trackpad.the UPPERCASE laptop palm protectors are easy to apply. simply peel part of the backing, align where they indicate on the instructions, and smooth to complete. the adhesive is strong but easily repositioned if needed. the material is thick and not some skimpy sticker material that would easily crease.the space grey color isn’t exact but it certainly is acceptable. I think it is not easy to match colors with a material that is different than the metal surface of the laptop. I’ve used other protectors of other colors for MacBook Pros in the past and no color is spot on. but do not let this deter you from getting this product.I wear a watch or bracelet and this assures me that I won’t scratch up the surface of the palm rest when using the laptop.this palm rest protect gets a 4.5 rating from me, rounded up to a 5. it gets high points for durability, good fit with options for use with and without a hardshell case, and adhesion.

Used these for my last Macbook, and now my new Macbook Pro 16.2". A must have for protection. Seamless color match to silver, easy application.

Just what I needed.

I had the UPPERCASE palm rest protector on my MBP 16 2019, and it was a perfect fit. When the MBP 2021+ came out, I tried another product because UPPERCASE didn't have it for the A2485 at the time. It wasn't a good match, not easy to install, not the color or even the feel. I opted to remove it and wait for UPPERCASE to come out with their palm rest. I am glad I waited. The UPPERCASE palm rest is easy to install, has a good color match, and doesn't have the rough feeling of the first product I tried.

Great product, been 2 years and still works.

I originally installed these on my 2019 MacBook Pro. And they held up great providing total protection from my Apple Watch third party band buckle that likes to catch and scratch everything. Product itself never scratched, can be removed when it's time to sell or trade in, and is actually not difficult to apply if you take your time and follow the *online* instructions. So I bought a second set for my new MacBook Pro M2. Not a single bubble during application. The key is to start applying it in one corner. Then continue applying along the edge aligning with the track pad, keeping the remainder of the product in the air. (Try not to move your fingers holding the product adhesive side around, it will pick up natural finger oils and you will lose adhesion.) If the alignment is good, go back to the initial corner and apply with a slow sweeping motion until it's fully down on the opposite corner. If it's not good at the initial edge application, peel it back immediately and try the edge first again. Don't install the whole thing crooked and try to pull it off. At that point the install is likely a fail. Otherwise, some people comment the product doesn't match perfectly. While true, I fail to see as a big deal. If anything, I like that it stands out just a touch as I can easily see the product is there, doing its job. And it does it well.

The fit of this protector is perfect. Covers almost the entire palm rest areas. It’s quite easy to apply properly as well. However, the color does not exactly match in most lighting conditions. The texture of this protector is slightly more glossy than the material of the MacBook itself. I bought the same protector years ago for my previous MacBook, and the quality of that was way better and the color matched better so I was a little disappointed by this one. Nevertheless, it should protect your MacBook fine.
