I got this Autel scanner elite 2. It packs almost the same functions as those outrageous expensive factory tools.I’ve used it on my BMW, Toyota, and my cousin’s Mercedes, and haven’t come across anything I need but it wasn’t able to do. The mind blowing feature intelligent diagnostics and topology mapping just take the experience to a whole new level. The tool provides step to step guidance when I am diagnosing and tuning up vehicles.As a solid alternative to snap on tools, the updates of which need keep adding up and costing a pretty penny. On the hand, Autel doesn’t need me to buy constant updates for growing function coverage, potentially in dashing the value of this tool for long time. It really worth the money!

Used this while swapping out my passenger airbag seat cushion sensor on my BMW M3. I needed to let the car know a new occupancy sensor was installed. Everything went smoothly thanks to this system. This is definitely a professional grade diagnostic system. As my car is getting older, the types of repair needed to be done are increasing in complexity and with BMW they want you to come to a dealership to get everything done by requiring specific BMW programs to swap out small parts. The tool allows me to take care of this at home and save more $$$ in the long run!

I own multiple scan tools and have used many different tools both aftermarket and OEM over the years. This is the first tool I have owned or used with "Live Data Fusion" - what a game changer. Live Data Fusion allows the technican to monitor data from up to four different modules at one time. Very few scan tools have this capability. When diagnosing a complex problem involving multiple modules the ability to monitor and evaluate live data in real time from different modules could be the diagnostic ace-in-the-hole what allows the technician to pinpoint a particularly vexing diagnostic challenge. This feature along makes the MaxiSys Elite II Pro 2 one of my top favorite scan tools! Highly recommended.

After purchasing this scanner I registered it with autel but it only comes with 1 year of updates even the description states 2 free years of updates.
