No more stinky cage!
I use this in the water for my 4 big stinky male rats. I use about 4-5 pumps in their 16 oz water bottles and shake it up really well. It makes the water cloudy but it has really made a difference in smell. The rat cage is right next to my desk and I sit next to it for up to 8 hours a day. All of my rats are healthy and lively and haven't changed personalities since adding this to their water. My new rats which haven't had this in their water has started smelling up their cage after 2 days. With this added to the drinking water, it never really smells anymore. This stuff is fantastic! I would buy it by the case if I could.Edit 7/22/2011: I received the bottle of GoodBye Odor for Ferrets today and it has different ingredients than the Bi-Odor Ferret Waste Deodorizer with which I've had very good experiences. What's in Bi-Odor (old product):Deionized water, aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, glycine, alanine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylamine, histidine, lysine, arginine, cysteine, proline. May or may not contain sodium bicarbonate, hydroxypropyl, methylcellulose, sodium benzoate. What's in GoodBye Odor (new product):Purified water, propylene glycol, xanthan gum, proprietary amino acid blend (alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tyrosine, valine), propyl paraben, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methyl paraben. The addition of propylene glycol and xanthan gum seem to make the new product more viscous and, if I understand ingredient labeling correctly, imply there is less of the active ingredients in the new product (the proprietary amino acid blend). I know propyl paraben, potassium sorbate, and methyl paraben are all preservatives and should be relatively harmless. I will continue to use the new product in the same manner as I used the old and see if it's the same quality.

Great product
This product really does help our ferrets and their natural scent. They are still 'stinky' so this does not get rid of their Odor completely but it does minimize it to where it's more manageable. As far as I'm aware there isn't anything to completely get rid of their Odor and that's fine. It's apart of them and if you are someone who doesn't like 'foul' odors, then you probably shouldn't own a ferret. So, great product, does what it says it does. Definitely recommend!

Great product!
I have to admit, that when I was first urged to buy this product at a local pet store, I was really skeptical it was a useless waste of money that wouldn't perform as advertised. However, my little Guinea Pig's cage didn't have the nicest odor even with just a little pee and poo in it (and we are meticulous about the regular cage cleaning), and I decided to give the product a try. Well, between using this "Goodbye Odor" in the piggy's water, and switching from pine shaving bedding to the Carefresh Natural, there is a night and day difference with how much nicer the piggy's bedding smells now. My daughter acquired four pet rats, and their urine and poo is pretty rank, too. We use cloth type bedding for the rats and it was getting smelly, even after changing the litter boxes and bedding daily. So, we added a bit of the Goodbye Odor to their water and it has been much nicer! One bottle lasts us months too, as one squirt per day in the water bottle or bowls works just fine. As for ingredients, they appear to be safe with the main ingredient derived from button mushrooms. There are other ingredients such as de-ionized water, dextrose (a sweetener derived from corn), malic and citric acid (which I believe are present for pH and some flavoring, especially the citric acid) and then some Potassium Sorbate as a preservative. We have purchased a second bottle on Amazon.com now and will likely be purchasing more. I enjoy having pets, but it is nicer if the house doesn't smell like a barn, especially when company comes over!

It really does work, I didnt' think it would.
Works great. I add three pumps into my rats water and that's all there is to it. I do this every time I change their water.Pros:1. Lessens and perhaps for some people comes close to eliminating the smell in a small animals habitat.2. Price isn't exorbitant for what you get. I feel it's a good value for the results I'm getting.3. Very easy solution to a common problem that many other products can't do much about.4. Appears to be all natural and will not harm your pets.Cons:1. Product's bottle could use a redesign or they should just get a new one that isn't as cheap. I understand that they need to keep costs down, but turn it upside down and the product comes out of the bottle even when the top is screwed on tight. My first shipment of this was packaged with some other things I'd bought and the bottle leaked all over everything in my shipment. The next one I received was covered in so much tape to avoid the leakage that it appears this is a long standing issue that could easily be addressed by changing to a new bottle.2. For me the product itself has a strange not to pleasant smell, but that's not why I bought it :)Conclusion:I love it. I have 4 Rats and they have a rather large Habitat, but like to dirty up the same spots every day and it gets smelly. Only after a week of using this I've noticed a HUGE decrease in odors coming from their habitat. Others in my household have also confirmed the results. I recommend it to anyone that has 1 or more small pets that smell things up.
