This worked great on my '98 Toyota 4runner! It slid right into place without any issues and fixed my issue with a soft brake pedal. You don't have to remove remove the brake lines from the master cylinder to install this, but taking out the evap canister helps a lot.The only thing I didn't like about this specific brake booster was that the included nuts were all SAE sized rather than metric. I didn't want to have to carry extra SAE tools with me so I just used the old hardware.

13 Feb. 2022: It's still working good thus far.April 2021: This is definitely a good buy, value for money at $89. Had it installed recently and works great so far. Bought one last year rebuilt by Cardone from a well known Online Seller at a higher price that turned out to be defected. May be early to say, but I'd recommend this highly. Will update if it gives in a short period.

Put on my 99 4runner, works great. Cheapest price by far, I could order 3 of these for what the part store wants. Every video i saw showed you have to completely remove the master cylinder from the truck, you do NOT have to. Its a tight fit but I change it out in about 45 minutes.

Product arrived on time and quality appeared acceptable. I installed with little effort and no issue. I can hear a good "whoosh" sound from the inside of the cab, but the brakes do indeed work, but they require more effort to stop. I don't want to believe that it's defective, just different or lower quality. If I have to do it again within a year, I'll probably go with Toyota.

The car is finally not a death machine and you can stop relatively easily. I took off one star because there is no mention of how to adjust the pedal connector. I wish the brakes were more sensitive and I wish I knew how to make that happen. Or maybe this brake booster is just a tad bit underpowered for the 4Runner. Incredible price though! And so easy to install.
