Had a potluck of soups with our friends. Bought these in this size (12 oz) so everyone could taste each soup and go back for more of any/all they preferred. They worked perfectly for this purpose. I imagine they’d be a great size for desserts & side dishes as well. They are not flimsy at all and do not impart any taste to the food. Cleanup was so easy. It could’ve been a nightmare with that many people/bowls but this was super-easy while still compostable. Will buy again if the need arises.

These bowls are small so keep that in mind. Not sure they would be the best option for soup or anything super hot but for snacks, fruits and simple stuff they are perfect. They are very sturdy and a great value.

I bought these size bowls especially to use to feed my dogs. Its the perfect size but when I heated their wet dog food in the bowl... immediately out of the microwave I can feel the moisture/wetness of the food seeping through the bottom of bowl. I put it on my kitchen countertop and it left a wet moisture spot on the countertop. So they are NOT leakproof nor would I say moisture-resisitant because it seeped thru immediately after less than a minute heating. I don't know if its because I heated it as opposed to just serving already hot soup or cold milk/cereal in it. It probably works fine if you eat your soup or cold cereal real fast so it doesn't seep thru and stain your table or your lap if you are having a party.

Love these bowls and don't feel guilty abut using plastic. They also toss into a campfire with no worries.
