I was part of a "Jane Austen Year" ... this was the first book. The way Austen uses letters to and from the characters was creative, for sure, but I found the whole thing to be quite tedious. I found it difficult to like any of the characters, with the exception of one.. Most are either conniving bitches or stupid idiots. And Austen must have worked very hard to write sentences that long. I know, I know ... it's a classic. But I didn't enjoy it at all. I won't be continuing with any more books in the "Jane Austen Year."

I thought I was purchasing a book. Don't waste your money. It's photo copied from a book, then stapled together like a pamphlet. It went into the garbage. Not fit to give as a gift.
