For the best fit and proper immobilization, you will need help applying this splint.

Q: Does this stay in place or slide around?

Locks in place and will not move around even if you toss in your sleep. Comfortable? Not so much. Effective? Extremely. I've found that both with medial tendinitis and plantar fascia if you lock the joint down at night it can resolve within days. We spend a third of our day asleep and can really exacerbate joint pain. This thing worked well for me combined with a Theraband for physical therapy for a quick cure.

Q: Can you move your arm at all?

The arm will move up and down when you move your shoulder and out and towards your body, however, it will not be able to be bent when wearing the brace.

Q: Do all of the straps have thre edging on it? It looked as if 2 had been cut.

Hi this brace's straps have an interesting edge on the top and bottom. The middle strap definitely has a sewn edge at the end. The top and bottom one do look like they have a "cut" edge and the velcros is able to be moved. It allows the strap to be trimmed if the strap is indeed too long.
