The fireplace frist off was dented in many places and not all the peaces were there not happy with the product at all !!!!!contacted the company and nothing WOULD NOT TELL ANYONE TO BUY THIS

it is a very nice fire box and I am very happy with the purchase. i was aware that it did not include a mantle, brick liner , venting pipes, gas hose, fan blower or remote.for any future buyers wondering about that. I did buy all these separately here on Amazon for the best price. I did try to shop around town at a fireplace supply store and they were way overpriced. I looked online and the majority of the fireplace suppliers online well I didn't like the numerous ad pop-ups and I wouldn't trust buying from them. This gas insert does include pretty much everything else you need to get you started. We vented out the side of the house because it required less pipe to be purchased. How does it heat up well pretty good . It heats our living room which is 17x 21, along with master bedroom and dining room without a problem. We do already have a blower installed for less heat loss. Attached pictures give a pretty good start to finish of the gas insert. My husband made the frame for it in about 30 minutes but if you wanted the item to sit flush to the wall you could do that as well.

Took a long to get delivered but we were forewarned. It looks nice but we haven't hooked the gas up to it yet so hopefully it works good!

Do not buy!!! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. Empire knows this is a bad fireplace. My installer talked to them over and over and got know where. The picture of flames is a false advertising, I only get blue flames that you hardly see. The supervisor had nothing to say, just send me back to their useless help desk, to start over again. We already spent months talking to them. This ended up being so costly. I would never recommend Empire!! They do not know what they are doing. Not just my opinion, my installer, fireplace shop and many other installers said stay away. Wish I did. Terrible company to work with no integrity.

Go to Efireplacestore to buy this unit. they are very helpful. This review is more about the seller Shop Chimney than the unit, but it does contain useful information for those considering the unit. I called the seller shop chimney at least 4 times and at first they appeared helpful, but it turns out they are just a middleman that doesn't know crap. The unit comes with a solid, removable glass front that seals it allowing only outside air for combustion. No where is it explained that is comes with this glass front and they instead claim you need doors and a fire screen. In fact, on their recommendation, I bought a unit that included doors and firescreen directly from the seller...a waste of money. After receiving the unit and finding the solid glass panel I called to question why I needed doors and the firescreen. They said the firescreen is need by law to prevent burns caused by accidentally touching the hot solid glass front.Then why do you need doors? Especially since the doors would allow room air to enter the combustion chamber. They would not take back the doors so there goes $300. Why can't they put this information in their product description? Secondly, they had no idea how to help me with a vent kit. Instead they tried to sell me something that had no picture of what it was and the list of contents was their sku numbers with no item description like 90deg elbow or wall thimble. They wanted me to buy something sight unseen for my application. Very deceptive. I would not buy from Shop Chimney!

Received the fireplace yesterday and very pleased with the product. The shipping company was great and was able to contact me for delivery. After removing the shrink wrap I noticed a defect in the powder coating. I’m attaching my email to the seller and waiting for a response. So far I believe the product and the delivery of the product deserves 5 star. I submitted a video of the defect as well. I will update my review once I have a solution. But overall I believe this insert is a great value for the price.Just received the fireplace yesterday. The product looked great upon receiving. I just cut the shrink wrap from the glass panel and saw a defect in the powder coating. I apparently can’t attach a photo from here but am requesting a replacement panel, or a solution to the problem. I’ll leave a 5 star review with a picture along with a copy of this message, so you can see the defect. I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your time in the matter.

I would stear clear of this brand, I have the Tahoe model, intermitant pilot with blower and clean face LP fireplace from Empire. Several issues that all appear to be QA issues. The baffel that is inserted into the upper section of the fireplace is larger than the fireplace by over an inch. It must be for a different model. Next, the paint job or powder coat on the hood that goes in at the top is so thin on one side that you can see the metal showing through. Looks like it was dusty, but after looking closer, you can see what looks like a bad spray paint job, so the left Third of the hood shows the unpainted metal. Next, the blower speed control sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Currently, this morning, it doesn't come on at all. I recommend going with a better quality brand, this isn't cheap by the time you purchase all the accessories like the logs and blower etc. I would not purchase again or recommend this one to any friend.
