I have a normal cleaver for handling heavy duty stuff but over time it has lost its edge and also doesnt perform some tasks very well.So decided to try this out. I often need to resize chicken or mutton depending on what dish i am cooking. So i needed something which can go through meat, cartilage and some bones. This knife lives upto its expectation. It does the job very well - even goes through mutton bones without needing too much force. The edge is not chipped in the process. Seems like it will hold up well.
