Great product
Great product! So far no clumping and taste good to. I bought from another supplier n it tastes off. This one is fresh. Every particle has a crisp taste to it. It took forever to get here but understandable. Im not the only one mads producing beer for the holidays! Im still on my beer making journey. Finally started on stouts and creams. Would definitely buy again.

Excellent for yeast starters
Used 1/2 cup of DME in 1 L of water. Combined the two in an erlenmeyer pyrex borosilicate flask along with a stirrer and swirled to mix. The DME is very sticky when in contact with water. Then heated slowly to boil in flask on gas burner. Watched carefully for boil overs and closely monitored heat. After it began to boil, turned heat to very low and mixed with spoon frequently and boiled for 10 minutes. Then sterilized aluminum foil with flame from burner and covered flask. Allowed to cool in fridge on oven mit to prevent cracking of flask. Once slightly hot to touch finished cooling in sink to approximately room temperature. Collected yeast by pouring 2 bottles of Bells Oberon that had settled in fridge for a few days and swirling to resuspend yeast in bottom of bottle. Bells beer is unfiltered allowing collection of yeast, they also have some great home-brew and collection tips on their website. Then inoculated culture and mixed on stir plate for about 2-3 days until cloudy. Then during 5 gallon brew day allowed yeast to settle and poured off liquid (prevents off flavors, you can drink some of the DME to see what it tastes like after yeast culture). Then resuspended in wort and added to carboy. Fermentation was vigorous within 24 hours.

Brewing Staple
I primarily used this to create a batch of wort to bottle as yeast starter. I would highly recommend to buy in large quantities as the price per pound drops significantly.

Great for making blonde and pale ales.
Great product at an affordable price. Add some steeping grains and hops to make delicious beer. I like DME over LME for its stability during storage. Also, when adding DME to boiling water there is less chance of it scorching.

Excellent for Baking and Bagels!
What I Like:1 This is excellent for making Bagels, or adding to breads. I use it for Bagels and Pretzels.2 Some complain about clumping, but I have found it easy to keep it powdery by simply storing in an airtight container, and not leaving the container open for long periods. I have had no problem with clumping. What I Don't Like1 You may want to consider buying a darker grade. This tastes very mild, and is perhaps too mild for some applications.Overall, recommended!
