Better BoatClear Waterproof Tape for Leaks, Heavy Duty Marine Grade Sealant, 15 ft x 4 in, for Pools, Gutters, Underwater Repair, Patching and Sealing

I bought this to patch a split in my in ground pool liner. The liner is 11 years old and will be replaced when I open the pool next spring, but I didn't want water to get behind it. I bought this very heavy clear waterproof tape to keep the split from spreading further. When I opened the package, the edges of the tape felt like mouse trap glue - it was that sticky. The tape is very heavy vinyl (I ordered clear), with a peel off clear plastic film over the adhesive side. It was very easy for me to unroll some and cut it to the correct length, peel off the plastic film, and apply it over the split in the pool wall. The tape sticks very well and you can't even see it. Time will tell if it yellows, but it should get me through the winter. If it holds up well enough, I may be able to delay replacing the liner for a year! Good stuff!

Fantastic tape! I recently hit a deer on the way to work, which shattered my passenger side window and destroyed my mirror. I tried going to a local store to try and find something that I could use to temporarily repair the window while I waited for a new one, but couldn't find anything that would stand up to the elements. So I went to Amazon and searched for strong waterproof tape, and this popped up. I couldn't be happier! It's completely clear so visibility is not a problem, and it's thickness makes it super quiet, no road or wind noise at all! I layered it from the bottom up so any water will run down off the door, like how you would layer roofing shingles, and after the first day, it is holding up extremely well! The glue is strong enough that it is not peeling up anywhere. It only needs to hold up for a few more days, and I honestly don't think that will be a problem. I highly recommend this tape!

The worst! I have a couple little holes in my boat seats. We used this tape to cover them until we can get them fixed. Cleaned the seats. Let them drive over night. Put the tape down. As soon we got into the sun the tape moved and came in stuck. It left a sticky gross mess everywhere. The tape doesn’t stick in the sun or if it get wets. My entire seats are full of sticky mess. Don’t purchase. It is not a marine tape.

This is more than duct tape, for sure. You have to be very careful applying it to your project, because it's powerfully sticky. I used the 4 inch size to seal the joint between a roof tarp and the side tarp of a carport. The joint leaked fiercely in the rain, and this tape is the only solution I could find. Because of the nature of the structure and the bungees, I had to cut the tape into sections to apply it. Also, there wasn't a solid backing to press against, so it leaks in spots, but nothing like before. Now that the rain is over I can fix the remaining leaks. Great product.

I bought it for our pool it has a leak but it would not stick to wet side of pool at all!

Used for patching the vinyl liner in my pool. I recommend this over flex tape all day every day. Less expensive, works just as well (so far, will update I that opinion changes) but is much easier to use. I ended up wasting half the flex tape because it's so difficult to work with.

Great product! Used it on my boat trailer to protect decals.
