A cool product for a older device or a device with less storage.
I have a ipad air 2...a very dated device with 128gig of storage. Not a lot by today's standards...So I got this device to use a sdcard for upto 512g additional storage. It works but at first I had a problem...The cable I was using a 10foot extended lightning cable would not plug in...it's like the sizing was off. I pulled out my older apple specific cable and pluged right in...So got power with this plugged in and got rid of a problem i was having with the 10foot cable I was using. It would not get a good connection on my ipad...so beep beep beep it went. This fixed that and I discontinued use of the 10 foot cable. I also found that if you move files from the device to the sdcard here the move becomes a copy. So I made a moved directory on the device and now I move them there and then after the copy to the sd card completes, I delete all fines in the moved directory. And this device has no connection problems to my ipad even with moving it around.

Does the Job Well
Works great but doesn’t always stay plugged into phone. Build quality is cheap but does the job.

Doesn’t work with ipad and scanner
i wanted this to be able to bring my ipad and desk scanner with me but doesn’t work! i’m sure it works great for everything else

Does not retain data
We noticed when you transfer files not all the files are transferred and when you need to transfer it to another device, the whole folder disappears. Nothing is retained. It’s a hit and miss adapter. I was suggest that this is good if you don’t really need the files but not if they are I do or die requirement. I gave it a very low rating as we have been trying to figure it out. It’s not operator issue it’s a technical issue with the adapter.

The best way to upload data or images to an iPad from a USB thumb drive or direct camera connection.
The instructions were a tad vague, and it took a couple of minutes before I had the AH—HA moment. But it was easy, reliable and FAST. The trick was using the FILES app availed for iPad. Simple download from the APP Store, free, and quick.

Did the job
I bought this to transfer pictures from an iPad to an external hard drive. Did the job but over heat and failed 5 or 6 times.
