V1 was a work in progress. V2 is perfect. Make sure you buy V2.
Updated:Normcore reached out to me and sent me the version 2.0. It’s WAY better. V1 isn’t worth buying imo but v2 is. V2 has larger magnets and a larger funnel with more height and width. My biggest grip is that the magnets are so weak that bumping it when trying to use the grind button on my Eureka Mignon Notte Espresso makes it fall of the basket. After trying for a few days to make this work I decided to put it to the side and never used it again. The quality of the funnel is outstanding, just the magnets are not good enough for my grinder. For a grinder that is not actuated by pressing your portafilter into the button I bet this would be great for. This is why I am giving it a 3 star review. It could be 5 stars for someone with a different grinder. But its a 1 star for mine.

Does the job
No more grounds spilled everywhere, so it does the job. My process: even out the grounds with a wdt tool, tamp slightly, give the portafilter (pf) a little tap with the tamper to get all loose grounds in the pf (cringe moment for pro baristas), take off dosing funnel, tamp with ~30lb.if you dont have a grinder that costs $2k that gets rid of static (probably in that case you wont even need this thing because it wont spit beans everywhere), coffee grounds will stick to this thing due to static (kinda annoying, tapping on pf with the tamper does not always help). If you have food grade anti-static spray, I'm sure it will help. Most pf bodies are made out of brass, so this thing only magnetizes to the actual pf basket. if the basket edges dont stick out enough (I'd say at least 1/8") it wont magnetize as good. if your pf is made out of steel I read reviews that it magnetizes too much. Used this for about 3 months, magnets did not fall out.

Great funnel.
Overall this is a great funnel to have when you have to wdt. Theres two downfalls of this product which is the magnetic isn't quite strong enough to attach to my portafilter. (so be careful when using WDT). And the last issue was its very shallow, so if you roughly/too quickly WDT it might spill over. Other than that it looks good and does the job.!

Fits perfectly, but make sure it snaps on!
I actually really love this funnel, but not at first. When we first used it, we had ALOT of coffee get between the funnel and basket. So I put it in the drawer with the rest of the coffee bar extras, then I pulled it back out to see if I could get it to work with a different brand basket.I figured out it wasn't seated all the way down. It will actually snap on like a button, and it works beautifully! Make sure you give it a little push til it clicks and there will be no coffee getting between the basket and funnel. It's really sharp looking and works great once I figured out how to use it correctly, definitely recommend!

Magnets come loose after 3 months (buy V2)
Honestly I really liked the product at first. But it's only been three months and four of the magnets came loose (completely off, and even if I press them back in, they fall). I never got it wet, put it in the dishwasher or anything that might've caused this. So I'm guessing they are held by pressure or by not a strong enough glue. Kind of disappointing since the whole easiness of use comes from the fact that the magnets help the funnel stay in place.----Edit 02/09/23 Normcore reached out and offered to send the V2 dosing funnel at no cost. We'll update if I encounter any issues but it does seem sturdier overall.

Works well with Eureka
Purchased this a few months prior and have not had issues with magnet loss. I am careful with it, and only handwash, but I have dropped it on numerous occasions. I looked into getting one with a cutout in back as I have the Specialista, but those cost 3x the price. That being said, after using this for a while, I've had no real issues with using the bump button. It fits fine under the spout on the lowest setting, and I can hold with the fork and give it a tap without knocking off the funnel.

Works great, I have used this for about a week or about 10 cups of coffee.
2 magnets have already fallen out and disappeared. This little guy works well, however I have only wiped it down after use and 2 magnets are missing in action. Not sure why they are gone or when they went missing. It still works but if magnets continue to fall out at this rate they will be gone in about a month. You can also see in the attached photo that not all magnets are flushly mounted into the ring. This may be ones that fall out next. I am not sure if I received a bad ring or if this is standard for this product.Missing magnets are just above the shadow in the upper half of the ring.Update as of June 1, 2022: another magnet is MIA. I have only wiped this product down, never been in the dishwasher or sink, just a moist paper towel to clean it. I would not buy this product again due to the problem with the magnets. Dropping to 2 stars.

Well made, but doesn't stay on portafilter.
It is manufactured beautifully, but it is a loose fit on a Gaggia Classic. But the biggest issue is the magnets are not strong enough to keep it in place. Just a small bump and it falls off.
