Q: Is this safe in a fish tank or pond to kill bacteria and Algae?

This product will kill all bacteria and algae in a 2.5 gallon fish tank if you use one packet. Unfortunately, it will also kill all snails, fish, crustaceans and any other lovely creatures in the same fish tank. For a pond, you would have to use quite a bit of product depending on how many gallons your pond holds and it would have the same result of killing all pond animals and creatures. Try using the 'quilt-batting' method to properly clean a pond chemical free.

Q: will coffee filters work for filtering?

Hi there! When you purify the water using a P&G packets, the process of flocculation occurs meaning that dirt and sediment bind and are easily strained out of the previously dirty water. As long as you have used the purifier and waited the allotted amount of time, you can use anything to strain your water into another container such as a coffee filter, or even a tee shirt!
