Great Camera Purse
I got the Ape Case Large Tech Messenger Camera Case for an upcoming trip to hold my Canon Rebel and my wallet. After practicing for a few days, I’m happy. It looks great, is comfortable, and holds what I need it to hold. That said, it looks much larger than it is, so make a mock up of the dimensions to see if it will work for you.The bag has 2 sections. Section 1, the area for a camera, is under the colored flap (which has large, very noisy Velcro and a secured zipper with pulls on either end); it holds my Rebel with kit lens attached and a square wallet. As I want safe storage and easy access, I won’t be putting any other lens in this bag—not enough room for quick in and out.Section 2 is an exterior zippered pocket (not really a compartment), and I don’t feel it can hold much more than a lipstick, plane ticket/boarding pass, iPhone, and other flat, flexible map-like items (certainly not a tablet). I do cram my keys and sunglasses in there, but the bag starts to feel fat.The strap with sliding cushion pad is comfortable on my shoulder or across my body, even when I have the camera out and camera strap around my neck. The bag hangs close without making me worry about knocking into things. This bag is what I wanted, but it would be better called a Camera Purse (Purselet?) providing a safe, fashionable means for a picture-taking tourist not to look so much like a tourist.I also got the Ape Case Cubeze Case for my 3 extra lens and my husband will carry it inside his daypack along with the raincoats.

I liked this case but it's too small to hold my camera and lens. Was smaller than it looks in the photos.A Nikon D3200 with a battery grip or any Pro DSLR with a vertical grip will most likely not allow the main compartment zipper to close. My Nikon with 18-200 Nikkor would not fit in this bag. The zipper would not close. I had to put it in sideways, which defeats the purpose of this bag. Again it all depends on your gear. My goal in purchasing this bag was to hold 1 DSLR with 2 lenses for travel. My lenses were not large but their filter diameters were (72 and 77) which again, made the zipper up top not want to close since it is narrower by design at the top. Also it sort of looks like a purse. Which is great for females, but for males, ummm...So if all you're carrying is a small point and shoot and maybe a compact umbrella/bottle of water, then this bag is great. Anything more than that, you would need a bigger bag.I wish they made one size larger/taller, it would have been perfect.

Great Potential
Great potential with this bag. I was searching for a bag to house minimum equipment, tablet, and accessories. My first disappointment was that there is only one true divider in the camera area. There is one other smaller pad for support. Having one more divider included would provide the ability to arrange equipment better. As advertised the padded section for tablets will only hold a 7inch tablet. The larger area can house a bigger tablet but then leaves no room to utilize the pockets. With placing my Nikon D3300 with 18-55 lens, 70-200mm, lens, wide angle attachment in the camera portion, I could barely place my tablet in the bag and zip it closed.I love the material and design of the bag and had no worries about equipment falling out. It's comfortable to wear. By making the bag slightly bigger and adding another removable cushion divider, this bag would get 5 stars. I've ordered another bag and will most likely return this one. This would make a good day use bag, but I'm not one for switching equipment from bag to bag.

Almost perfect!
Love that this case just looks like a regular bag. Will be perfect for travel! Could be even better with just a little more space- my camera (Nikon D3300) fits with stock lens (18-55mm) and telephoto (55-300mm) but it is tight. Fits best when stock lens is mounted on the camera, the other way around doesn't work well.I would also want a bit more room for other things, so I can use as a purse when traveling. Wallet and phone can go in the back pocket, but not a water bottle our anything that isn't pretty flat.
