Some boy scouts decided they could get some merit badges they needed on a backpack trip, and their scoutmaster couldn't talk them out of waiting until overnight temperature would be higher than the expected 20F. I reached peak insanity when I offered to help him. I've often backpacked, and I've often done cold weather camping, but never this combination. My 35F backpacking sleeping bag needed augmentation, and a fleece bag liner, heavy sweats, and these body warmers did the job. With two warmers down by my feet, and one by my chest, I was pretty comfortable in what could have been an uncomfortable situation. (The boys did OK, while nonetheless learning that the scoutmaster knows what he is talking about)

I took 3 on a high elevation backpack trip to put in the bottom of my sleeping bag. Only 1 of the 3 would heat up. I hate sleeping with cold feet.The 1 that did work worked quite well although it's too small for what I needed it for. It lasted a full 12 hrs.

Bought for an emergency kit for our reptiles and ended up needing them sooner than expected when our heat stopped working at 3 am. These don't work at all. Opened like 8 of them and they didn't get warm after an hour. Am asking for a return/refund because these are a huge waste of money.

I use these for my feral cats in extreme cold winter days and nights. Unable to place cats in shelters and homes because way too wild. They don't even go near you. They do not do well in a indoor houses and shelter. They are miserable when we tried. I have feral cat houses outside and place the warmers under a light blanket so not to get it too warm for skin. I also put it under a blanket in outside cat beds. They cuddle up to it with their paws and it keeps them warm. It warms up the houses pretty good long after the warmers stop working. This keeps them warm for a long time once their body heat takes over.

So mad about these, I tried to reach out to the seller and there had been no response. I bought these and they do not work, like maybe two out of the 30 we have tried for hot after being open for around a half hour. I got these for a blanket with inserts and also for my foot to help it heal because it needs to stay warm for circulation, but these didn’t activate like they should have. Very upset and wasted my money
