Strong with small footprint
Heavy duty. I'm using the 20inch brackets mounted to a 2x4 holding up an ikea laminate countertop at each stud along at 15ft long wall for my home office. It's holds 5 PCs and 6 monitors and has been solid for 6 months. Very happy with it.

Solid as a rock, and nicely finished.
Used these to hang a “floating” butcher block counter in a laundry room. Extremely impressed with the construction, and sturdiness of these brackets. I like that these are welded steel, rather than some comparably priced options that were cast. With all 4 anchored to studs, the countertop feels completely solid and sturdy, and can bear my entire weight (and probably plenty more) without budging. The only challenge is that the screw holes on the brackets are 1 1/4”, so the precision required to land both screws onto a 1 1/2” 2x4 was challenging. I ended up driving the screws inward at an angle to ensure they all hit wood. Maybe not *quite* as finished looking as if they’d been driven in at 90°, but perfectly sufficient. On a few occasions the spinning drill chuck glanced a coated edge of the brackets, but the powder coated finish showed no sign of damage. Very sturdy in all regards.

Very solid.
I'm in the process of constructing two floating desks using two brackets for each desk. Although the brackets came with hardware for installation, I opted not to use them. There is hardware for concrete and drywall instalation, but I took advantage of the support from the studs. Since my studs didn't line up as needed, I affixed 3/4" panels. Working alone, I struggled to hold these heavy, solid brackets in place. The brackets have both slotted and single drill holes for the screws. I wasn't pleased with the screws provided, but it was a matter of preference. Unfortunately, I discovered the purpose of the slotted holes (they are used to adjust placement). While the brackets did have some minor paint chips flaking off, it wasn't terribly bad, and a little spot painting should fix it. After mounting them, I placed my 40lb desktop on the brackets and had little concern about their ability to support it.

The second two orders were nothing like the first 2 pairs I ordered.
The first 2 pairs I ordered were EXACTLY as represented - 1/4" thick, cold rolled steel, super heavy duty - totally awesome. I needed 2 more brackets - tried to re-order twice now - and what I received is NOTHING like what is represented and nothing like the first 2 pairs that I ordered. These were super thin, super weak, lacquered metal - unusable.

Heavy duty, nice finish
Very heavy duty. Not worried about anything falling down in my pantry. We mounted into studs and used our own screws. Put screw head caps on the visible screw heads for a nice clean look. Brackets have a little bit of flex to them so had to add a cleat to the adjoining shelf to keep them from bouncing. Says absolutely 90 degrees, well, lets say within 1/8th of an inch. Added wedges to a couple. No way you could bend one. I ordered a couple brands and these were the closest to 90 degrees and the ones I ended up using.

Excellent Brackets
I needed a sturdy non gusseted bracket as it was used upside down. These are 1/4” thick and perfectly square. The powder coating seems a little thin. If you need a stiffer bracket than this one, look for one with a gusset.

"interesting" Wall Fasteners
The metal shelf brackets are fine. They're simple steel brackets with a nice paint job. They are designed to handle a fair amount of weight. I would never use the hardware they included to install the brackets.I included a picture of the different hardware. The one on the left has totally confused me on how one would use them. I can't figure out how to use them in a normal wall where you don't have access beyond the wall. The second piece of hardware on the right is designed for a hollow wall but they may require a fairly thick wall to expand enough to provide support. They may work in a solid wall but there are many other solutions that would work better than these fasteners.I'm in my seventh residence where I do all the DIY projects, so this isn't my first attempt at putting up shelves.
