Q: Will this salt feeder hold a 50 pound block

I don't know but I put like cattle salt blocks in mine sometimes

Q: Why don’t you make these to fit on a t post

While I can't answer this question specifically, I would opine that the feeder is a little too big and heavy to fit on a t-post. I attach all of mine to trees with 2 ratchet straps. These work great to secure them to the tree. Mike in Alabama

Either the regular size block or the bigger ( taller one) block . Hope this helped

It’s always releasing as long as the deer are there eating. It’s gravity fed.
